Thunderbolt 4 on my laptop has never worked correctly. I finally gave up and bought this TB3 device. It works perfectly as a dock, and it performs so well I don’t care about losing the TB4 capabilities. Runs a bit hot in an enclosed space, you might want take a cabinet door off or cut a vent hole in the back of your desk.

I've been shopping around for a USB-C dock and tried a few lower priced docks. I was unable to get the DP/HDMI ports to work on the others. This one worked right out of the box. I'm very happy with it. I'm also surprised that it works with my MacBook too! I'm very happy with it.
