I used this heat-resistant 1.5"-wide tape to finish off the raw edges of the Insulation Pad I installed on my 2005 Dodge Dakota. The 4'X5' roll was more than ample to replace the old, warn, and shredded OE insulation pad.The tape is highly sticky; I have no doubts, even though it's in the heat, under the hood, it'll last for the rest of MY life, and at least that of my Dakota! Very sticky, so care in application is required, but, it's fairly manageable, if it must be re-positioned!It's a great buy, and really, really does the job right!!

I have used their products infrequently, but always with success. If I have any projects requiring thermal management, DEI is at the top of the list. This heat reflective tape seems solid (as much as it can for tape) and adheres well. It is easy to cut, though peeling the backing can be tricky. Fingernails, when short, make peeling the backing frustrating.

Excellent tape for adhesive properties. This is a problem for many of the cheaper alternatives. I have never tested heat protection tapes but none of my ATV plastics are deformed or show signs of heat related issues. My only gripe is the cost. I feel as though your paying for the quality name abit too much. Good product but expensive comparatively.

Purchased this silver color heat reflective tape for fixing two busted intake house in my car that had developed holes and cracks due to heat. The price for each intake hose is $80 and there are two of them so it's quite the money to replace them and may suffer the same consequences down the road. So bought this tape to wrap the plastic parts of the hoses and cover the holes. Overall, the tape is holding up really well for over a month now and notice better airflow and throttle response as well as my gas mileage has returned to normal when before it was suffering by one or two mpg.

I have used this in proper situations and improper and it has worked regardless. Heck I used it to patch a hole in a tailpipe I am planning to replace and it is working to stop the exhaust leak surprisingly. I also use it for temporary placement of electrical components that produce heat like resistors while I test them if I need to keep them away from stuff that can melt. Also have used this in a heat wrap around an air intake tube before.

Used this for the edges of heat tape on a snake rack, the adhesion releases within a couple of weeks. I believe it MIGHT be because of the professional thermastat I use, it controls the heat to a T and has a night drop. This tapes adhesive may not be able to handle daily, prolonged temprature fluxuations. Not sure how great it would do for high heat on and off for intake valves or exhaust ports on machines if it can't withstand what I used it for, it's not even on the heating strips, I used it simply for insulation on the sides. So not too sure about this products viability of use as far as adhesion.

An der Unterseite meiner Koffer am Motorrad zum Schutz derselben verklebt, und hält. Nach dem Test ca. 220 km im Koffer deutlich kälter als vorher nach einer Fahrt und das Klebeband hält noch got und zeigt wegen der Hitze keine Veränderungen. Zum Thema ob es nötig ist Plasteteile zu schützen, in dem fall ja, habe schon einen Koffer wegen leichter Verformung nicht mehr schließen können und das mitten in der Tour, deswegen jetzt der Schutz und scheint zu funktionieren. Den ein Stern weniger für den doch recht hohen Preis für die par Centimeter Klebeband.

patched a metal power steering return line with some rubber hose, a little close to the exhaust for my liking... wrapped it up with this stuff and it's good as new!
