Review for: Office Chair Mats for Carpeted Floors, 44†x 58†Large Desk Floor MatBought this mat to replace a 36"x48" because it fits perfectly between the desk and book shelves where there's about 45" of carpet.The Good:Unrolling was easy even by myself. Yes, it's tightly rolled, yes it's stiff, but it's workable. Instructions say to warm to 72F, the house A/C is set to 74 and the office usually sits around 80F when the door is closed and the computer is on. So I didn't worry about warming it with a hair drier. Rolled it out, using the teeth to hold it against the carpet as I unrolled the rest. Weighed down the corners with a few random objects and the office chair. The mat flattened fairly easily, except for the tightest rolled end, which I left a folded up cot laying across and it flattened out not too long after the rest. The material is solid, with some flexibility. The chair moves smoothly on it (I have feet, not wheels on my chair). The mat is the perfect size for the area.The Bad:After the 2nd day I noticed what looked like steam under the mat. When I lifted it there was moisture on the underside of the mat and the carpet was soaked. I took the mat out of the room and left it upside down to dry for 2 days. Put a fan on the carpet to dry that as well. Put the mat back in place and again 2 days later there was moisture under the mat, although not as much as the 1st time. This time I took the mat onto the patio where it's usually around 90F and left it there for another 2 days. I brought it back into the office today and we'll see what happens next. There's a thermometer with humidity meter in my office, the room is generally below 50% humidity.I'm not sure where the moisture came from, if it is something in the manufacturing process or a result of shipping through humidity and possibly rain in Florida. If the moisture problem goes away I will change to 5 stars.

I have a slightly larger mat from them and it is very flat, so when I needed 2 more I used the same seller/manufacturer.These are stubborn, even 3 days later, using hairdryer, laying in the sun, they still are not flat, "waves/curved" every 8 inches or so. I've bended them many times (more than 10), no success, and as I said, hairdryer worked only a little bit.I will put boxes on the curves again for a few days hoping it will make it better.Purchase experience/delivery was great though

I've had the matt for 2 months on a rug surface. Did have difficulty flatting the matt. The matt is still wavy from being flatten in the package. I find my wheeled desk chair wheel sinking into the matt thus some effort is needed to move the chair around. Yes the matt was a good price but due to it's thinness and the shipping folds I would not purchase in the future.

Bought two, one for door way and one for kids eating area to keep the place carpet clean. Both work up well.

It was the right size but extremely hard to get it to lay flat. Impossible.

This was just what I was looking for, it did take a couple of days to flatten.
