These are perfect. They may be a bit thin to support a chair without creating a dent, but it is FAR better than trying to slog through carpet.

It was very, very hard to unroll. I ended up weighting it down with 30lbs weights to get it to unroll & to hold it down, if I didn't have the weights, I'm not sure what I'd have done... I let it acclimate for a couple weeks once rolled out before putting in place in office area. Mine measured closer to 47 1/4" x 59" but that was no big deal it wasn't going to be an exact fit anyways. It's a good size for me as its only purpose is to protect the carpet from accidental spills (easy cleanup). I have it under furniture on two sides & point of entry side is a little cupped down towards carpet so that's not really an issue & I'm thinking over time that may go away. Now if it can just make it 3-5 years+ before the chair wheels wear a hole through it that would be great!

Works well, but I wish the set up was easier. Having this piece of plastic rolled into a box super tightly is not conducive to set up as I had to unroll it (the spikes to anchor it into the rug feeling like knives in your hand) and then use heavy objects/weights in order to keep it from curling back up.

This is so frustrating. These mats are the right size all right, if I ever get them flattened out! I can't unroll them! They are too stiff to flatten. Another problem is the backing side has very sharp prongs. OK, they won't slip on the low-nap carpet, but they will certainly dig holes in it by the dozens! I need heavy gloves to get a grip, and I'm not a wimp. I just don't think bleeding all over the carpet is a good idea! Now these 3 mats were delivered to the apartment I am renting. I am 76 years old, and can no longer drive, so returning them is going to be a big problem that I don't need. I just need usable mats. ggrrrr!

I bought the 6ft long and it worked great for a much-needed flooring under the cockatiel cages. I read the negative reviews regarding the roll out problem. Not at all that difficult. What is needed is heavy gloves as the grips on the matt are sharp. I did it myself but two people would make it easy peasy rolling it out on a carpet then weights. I moved it in position the next day. I'm happy with the quality and for the money it's a deal for sure.

Got myself cut up on my hands from the spikes several times trying to get this thing to unroll. Absolutely absurd. Couldn’t get it back in the box to return plus I got blood on it, so I’m out the money and tossed it in the dumpster. Others said too thin so possible I got a different design or material cause this was not thin. Thick plastic that would not unroll.

So far so good! It was pretty hard to unroll, as you have to flatten it. I tripped over it and it got my barefoot and scratched it all up but I guess that is good quality, and stiffness. It looks great in a house.

Lies complately flat within a couple of hours of unrolling. It's tough and has withstood many months of regular wear with a wheeled office chair without any issues whatsoever. It doesn't slide around because of the small 'nubbins' on the underside which secure it in place on a carpet without damage. And if you do decide to remove it, a brief vacuuming restores the carpet pile to its former state. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again although I don't forsee needing to replace this one for a very long time.

Unrolling this thing was nigh impossible with how sturdy the thing is. I can't tell if this is a good thing. Also got about 3 cuts from the spikes beneath. Definitely wear thick gloves when installing.
