This was shipped super compact and was very easy to build. Looks fantastic when completed and is a great way to take advantage of vertical space on a desk for more storage or decorations.

I got this for behind a giant tv as storage. It’s. A great size. Great price. I like it a lot. But it does take about an hour to put together so be ready!

The unit itself is really nice. Took about an hour to 75 min to assemble. The instruction were very easy. The LED accent light is nice too. However, some of the metal pieces did not align and were difficult to force together and had to be hammered into place. Also, 2 of the top shelves came scratched, but there is no way of asking for replacement shelves. Would have to return the entire unit and get a new one. Not worth it.All in all a great piece for college dorm!

I haven’t quite organized all my supplies but I can’t believe how much this shelf can hold!Assembly was very easy and fairly quick. DO look at the little images on the instruction sheets - the holes need to be facing the way it tells you. (I winged it for one section and regretted it.) You don’t really need a power drill/screwdriver but it might make getting the socket screws in faster and with less elbow grease. I chose to do everything manually and it wasn’t bad.The piece is substantial. That is, it isn’t flimsy, wobbly or spindly. And, as I mentioned, it holds a lot … I decided to use a smaller similarly designed shelf where the monitor would go so I can’t use the grid to hang a bunch of hooks but I did manage to carve a little space to hang a small bin. I also have a couple of hooks hanging on the side bars and magnets to hold sketches and other notes.The plug is especially handy. I can plug in my iPad, heat gun and use the ports to charge/run my desk fan and whatever else needs charging. I love playing with the pretty lights - so many color, modes and brightness settings.I can’t think of any cons to this product. The price point is right, the quality is wonderful, and it looks good. If you’re reallllllly fussy, the top shelf is made of three smaller pieces so you can see two seams.

The “wooden†bits are MDF with a wood-grained vinyl facing. The metal bits are powder coated black. In order to fit it all in a smaller box, all the longer pieces are really two (or the case of the top shelf, three pieces) that need to be screwed together. It took me more than an hour to assemble. The resulting hutch looks pretty decent (no one is going to mistake it for premium furniture though) and is sturdy.I didn’t realize it came with an W+RGB LED light strip. I decided to not install it because the “white†light has a strong blue tinge (high color temperature) and the quality of the light it emits is poor, making colors look dull and lifeless.For the price ($50 at the time of this review), I think it represents a good value.[Disclosure: I received this product for “freeâ€â€”in quotes because the IRS considers the item’s retail value as taxable income for federal income tax purposes. I like my desks to be hutch style, but sadly my current desk that I needed to help with mobility issues didn't come with a full shelving setup, so I had to add my own! This shelf is super stable, I was a little worried since my desk is not against a wall, but the shelf has not shifted at all. My only complaint is the positioning of the plug since if it was mirrored I could use it, but as is I would need a longer cord, so for now I am not using the plug. The light is fun, it reacts to my tv remote, which is hilarious, but easy enough to fix with the included remote.Honestly I like everything about it, yeah watching TV from my desk means watching through a screen, but it is a price I am willing to pay for being able to have more storage on my desk and keep the surface clutter free so I can work.

A really useful piece of furniture, not just for use with the computer. Once assembled it is very solid and looks really cool. The only drawback is the assembly, it requires quite a bit of time, you will spend at least 20 or 30 minutes on it. But the truth is that once assembled it is worth it.
