Works well and makes it easy to flip between straight through viewing or at 90 degrees.

The tel-rad Dew Shield is not manufactured or engineered properly... When assembled the way instructions suggest, the pivot of the mounting screws move the dew shield too far forward and it hits the hud reflector. I flipped the mounting brackets around and screwed them in place. Then took a small drill bit and drilled through the threaded holes in the metal L-brackets into the tel-rad body itself not to damage the threads in the brackets to mark the hole positions about 1/16"deep. I then removed the brackets and drilled the tel-rad body about 3/32" deep with 3/32" drill. When assembling the mounting brackets the plastic screws now thread through brackets into the holes i drilled with enough drag to prevent the dew shield from coming loose like the original design preventing the screws from coming loose when moving up and down, which was also a problem before. The top of the hud frame will have to be trimmed down with a Dremel tool also for clearance (see photo)... I also installed a flasher kit available for the tel-rad and also installed an Amazon Amico 6A 3 Pin SPDT On/Off/On switch inside the tel-rad just behind the battery and above the led box in the body. This allows me to choose flash or on solid mode and can turn the LED off any time without disturbing my brightness setting and flash rate... A wiring diagram is in photo. The micro switch hole is 85mm from the front edge and 11mm from the top front of the tel-rad body on the opposite side of the original on-off-bright switch. I hope i made this clear enough... These are major improvements to functionality and easy to turn on and off.

IMO, a bit overpriced but it works

Very limited use I was better off with the towel covering the finder. It is hard to adjust and the mirror is only useful on very bright stars still find my self kneeling on the ground to look through the finder. Been better off with a dew heater, but it fit well and attached easly

This thing is more frustrating to manipulate than just cranking your head over. Just a poorly executed and fitting product. Terrible.

Keeps the dew off I guess, but man, I sure wish it fit better. It kinda feels like it was manufactured by a completely different company.

Does just what it is supposed to do and does it very well.

I think this is a poor design with good intentions. A club scope has one of these and find it useless. Only works (barely) with a bright star. The mirror part is no good. I finally found the best dew prevention for a Tel Rad is an old sock. Cut the bottom off where your ankle would be and sew it up at that point. Now it fis over the top of the Tel Rad. Wen you want to align on a star, remove the sock and when done put it back. The only useful accessory for a Tel Rad is the adjustable on;off switch. That with the variable brightness of the stock Tel Rad makes it even more useful.
