Dewalt just makes the best plugin grinders.. This one is just as good as my other 2 Dewalt grinders. Can take a beating..

It's got enough weight that you don't have to lean into it while pulling back through flagstone and harder sandstones. The 7-in blade capacity gets through over 2 inch thick material. I would keep two of these on the job in case the switch and brushes got too much stone dust in it to work reliably. Not too much trouble to clean it out. With two guys cutting on the job I got this one to have a third so that we have a backup handy but I don't feel the need to have two backups.Good power and long handle make for a useful machine. This is no lightweight,agile little 4.5" machine. I've used the heck out of this and don't feel a need for expensive brands like Metabo.

This grinder is great for those tough cutting and grinding jobs. Extremely powerful and high speed. I use it to cut mortar in stone with a diamond cutting wheel. It has no problem at all getting the job done.

Needed a grinder to reach further in than a smaller grinder would. Handled the work quickly and efficiently. Used it with a cutting blade to cut some 3/16 bar without any problem and less blade wear than with my smaller angle grinder.

This grinder performs very well, I used it to grind down a concrete floor and it never dogged down or skipped a beat, very happy with this DeWalt product

Not as big as my Makita GA7031Y but way lighter and gets the job done as well.I can bog this down easier than the Makita, but that's to be expected.Comes with Type 27 Guard and "Flanges" for depressed wheels, oh and a spanner.

I am going to say that I was amazed and more than pleased by the customer service associated with this purchase. The grinder is a good tool, but the particular one I received had (I think) a defective bearing or shaft in that at the second use it began to vibrate and progressively got worse. I could wiggle the shaft and the abrasive disc was wearing unevenly. This was at about 45 days of purchase. I tracked the warranty information and the best Dewalt would do is have me ship it to them at my expense. They would repair it and ship it back to me at my expense. the process was estimated to take 10-14 days and I would have a repaired item. I called Amazon got through with about a 45 second wait, pointed out the 90 day money back guarantee and asked to return the grinder for credit. The rep asked if what I really wanted was an exchange, which was exactly what I wanted. She gave me an overnight UPS return sticker and I sent it off in the morning. By the next afternoon, I had a brand new grinder which works perfectly. I might add that I live on a country road far from any airport. I even got the $20 off promotion I had had on the original purchase. This was fabulous. This was really above and beyond. I honestly don't know how they do it.

This unit is incredibly powerful but very controllable. I used it with a concrete grinder to remove the remnants of Thinset mortar. Using a shroud and vacuum attachment allowed me to remove the mortar and smooth the concrete with minimal dust.~JSmith

Only ever had smaller 4.5in grinders. This is way better. The torque is the biggest change. You can really lean into it. Also came with a grinding blade which is nice.
