I use this to grind concrete, grind metal, and cut bricks. It has sufficient power and speed for these jobs. I've had it apart a couple of times to clear the masonry dust from the commutator and it is a serviceable unit - easy to disassemble, commonality in the screws where possible, and designed to be taken apart in sections, as needed.Adjustment of the guard is a bit difficult (lever is too small), but it is removable, so the problem is solve-able.

Very happy with my Dewalt grinder. I just bought it as an extra one so that I can put different attachments on it so I don’t have to change from cutting wheel to grinding stone to the wire wheel. Again, very happy. Thank you. 😎

This is a simple work horse of a grinder. It doesn’t complain or over heat, it just does its job. I liked it so much I bought a second one.

My first attempt to buy this grinder I got a poorly taped up "open box" item. I promptly requested a replacement and got my new grinder the next day.It has no problem getting through anything I've put it through. The paddle switch works great and the guard is really easy to adjust or remove.I do have 1 issue but it is actually Dewalts fault. They advertize that it has a "quick release" for the wheel. Dewalt does not currently have a quick release for the wheels. I confirmed this with Dewalt. Their "quick release" is an Allen key that you can use to break the spindle nut free instead of a spanner wrench that most grinders use. It is nothing like the Bosch X-Lockâ„¢ system.Overall though, I am happy with my purchase. I gave 4 stars due to being provided an open box item at first and the false description of a "quick-release" for the wheel. Otherwise, it would have gotten 5.

Holy Cr&p! This is one good grinder!!! I am becoming a Dewalt fanboy, but this review is legit. I was looking for a second angle grinder and really wanted the dewalt 20v angle grinder... but the complaints about battery life were nagging at me.. it's fine if you want to break an edge now and then, but I was in the middle of a big job and thought I didn't have enough batteries to cycle through... so I find this one instead...The 11amp motor is real... I have a 6amp grinder and you can tell the difference when you are hanging on! You can lay into the wheel and remove material without slowing down... really it's the only way to go!The paddle is also very nice feature, sort like an on off switch, but also like a deadman switch... it takes nothing to hold on, because you hand is already wrapped around the handle...This is the 4.5" grinder to buy!

My husband ordered this. I guess everything is fine, I haven't heard any complaints.It did arrive timely and as described by the seller. Good value for the money.I'm happy that he's happy with it.

Wasn't sure about investing in this tool, but if you are looking to grind cement - it made my project much easier! I spent 3 weeks scraping thinset of my basement floor. Had to level some concreateso bought this, a shroud and a disc or concrete. I was done within an hour - including improving on my thinset removal over the whole area! The right tool makes a difficult job MUCH easier. Worth the investment. I can see MANY more uses for it too and am excited to use it more.If you are on the edge - do it ! You won't regret it!
