DeWalt makes superior tools for every job and this bagged sander is no exception. DeWalt is the only brand we trust. We bought this bagged sander to sand our kitchen cabinets prior to painting. We are living in the house & needed to reduce dust. It did a great job. We hung plastic around the work area & there was only a super fine layer of dust easily wiped off. I'm allergic so it was a great help. The filter bag works great, as does the sander. Easy to get into tight places so minimal hand sanding required on ornate mouldings. We used it in our baseboard, doors, bookshelves, built in entertainment center & furniture. Love this tool! Trust the DeWalt brand.

I have been slowly switching my corded tools for DeWalt cordless ones. Love this sander; easy to use and switch out the sanding pads. I also don't have to get out an extension cord.So far, I have sanded several projects, and this tool has more than met my expectations and run time. Not as hard on the hands (vibrations) as other tools I have used. Plus, you can't go wrong with a DeWalt tool!

I've been on the Dewalt platform for most of my hand tools and this sander is lightweight, powerful and holds a charge for most home projects I have. I'm currently using it to sand a older plaster ceiling and anyone who has done that knows how tiring it can be holding a tool above your head. This makes the job relatively easy. Would recommend.

I bought this to replace my corded Dewalt sander, which disappeared somewhere. This is the best quarter sheet sander out there. The sanders that use glue-on disc's are worthless because as they heat up, the glue stops sticking. This one is easy to reload, and less expensive in the long run.

Some people may not like Dewalt, but I’m partial to Dewalt because it was the only brand that last for my dad who was a contractor. I bought this style sander because I grew up with the sander with the old clamp that you had to use a flat head to open and slide the paper in. My oscillating tool is hook and loop and I go through sandpaper like crazy so I definitely wasn’t getting that type sander. I sanded my window trim with it and sanded a pvc table with it before paint it and it worked great. I use the 20v max xr 5ah battery and it lasted for 2 windows and a table and hardly used any battery because 3 bars were still green. My mini circular saw devours the battery, but the sander hardly used any battery and it was used on the 2nd to highest speed.

The sander is as expected and I'm happy with it's performance. When I received my order it did not come in the manufacturers (Dewalt) box. Although the sander appears to be unused I would feel more comfortable if it came in the original packaging. I received the order in a plain brown box as expected but, inside the box was the item I oredered loose in the box inside the manufacturers (Dewalt) yellow and black canvas bag. There wasn't any kind of packing material supporting the shippment from damage. The original packaging would have provided the needed protection. I suspect the person who packed the shippment couldn't get the manufacturers packaging in the selected shipping box as is so they took the item out of the original box instead of getting a bigger shipping box.

I already have the dewalt random orbit 18v sander, which i thought was brilliant apart from it didn't get corners nor is it much good on anything intricate. So i decided to buy this ¼ sheet sander as i use the rolls of abrasive. On the plus sides very easy to use, gets in corners, excellent battery usage (approx 10 mins per ah), easy to fit paper, very comfortable. The only mark against it is that the dust extraction into the dust bag is not as good as the random orbit sander. Also I bought mine from USA to save about 50% against the UK model so i could not register the guarantee in the uk. I don't anticipate this being a problem as the quality is great so i expect it to last. I use it daily without any problems. I would definitely recommend it. Buy from USA, save some money. 18v batteries are the same as the USA 20v. Just different labels.
