It took me a bit to learn how to use it (the bit is sharp and will walk if you don't hold it tight or use it to cut around outlet boxes or a hard edge like a 2x4}. After a couple of cuts (OK, maybe more than a couple of cuts) I get nice straight, clean cuts in the sheetrock.

Used these bits for sheetrock and they worked fine. Sheetrock is hard on the rotary bits so you will wear them out fairly quickly. These also worked well on acoustical ceiling tiles.

I've used the 1/4 guide bits before in my drywall router with success, but so far I have yet to master using this on plastic boxes, even metal can lights I found myself just tearing through the metal in places. I've tried various depths trying to find the right spot to get enough of the guide point making contact, but maybe I just don't feel it right because I can't follow a junction box very well. However, I am not a professional, and these have held up okay when hitting the occasional screw.

This is excellent when used to router drywall holes. He says it works quickly and smoothly in cutting the dry wall for around windows, or electrical sockets, etc.
