This is a nice hammer tacker. It sinks 1/2-inch staples flush to the surface. I wish it could accept slightly longer staples but 1/2-inch is the max. Durability is yet to be discovered since it's brand new now. The picture shows "often purchased together" and showsBostitch Office SB351/2-5M that do not fit this hammer stapler. Make sure you get T-50 that are 1/2" or shorter. This feels like a quality tool.

Work at a mill as a wrapper, this works better and easier to load than others.

The tool works, no doubt about it. I just used it to insulate an exterior wall and tacked it in no time. It’s a little heavier than my fathers hammer tacker, I don’t recall which brand, but that was much lighter than this tool, that’s my only knock. However, I’m writing this review to not trust Amazon’s recommendation to purchase the BOSTICH staples along with the tool because the staples don’t fit the tool. I should have checked, it’s my fault but I trusted Amazon advertising compatible supplies. Amazon did refund, so that was good but I had to go out and buy staples, which was a real time waster. It’s a well made, quality tool, using the right staples of course..

I had to hang some vapor barrier in my basement so I figured I would spend the few extra dollars and get the hammer style stapler vs hand one. Boy was I glad I did! Hanging the plastic took half the time it would have other wise. Within seconds I was able to go down the line and shoot in my staples. It was so easyand dare I say a little addictive. I ended up going way overboard with the amount of staples. Besides being quicker it is also more ergonomic - a normal staple gun requires a good amount of squeeze to shoot. This takes a rather light swing. The only downside is you can't be too precise with location.

Heavier than expected but works fine. Doesn’t drive staples fully in unless if you slam it hard. Flip the tool and you’ve got a hammer to drive the staples fully in if needed.
