Outdoor 2 FT Long Cord Mechanical timer
- Do not attach a device that exceed the unit ratings.
- Make sure the timer is placed far from artificial lights to avoid interference. The timer is daily repeat after setting, in case of power failure it will stop operating. Once power is restored, reset the desired operating mode as the operating instructions.
- In order to avoid water getting into the outlets, the timer should be mounted in a vertical position with the outlets facing downward and at least 2ft above ground level.

I use this in my grow room, which is indoors but there are lots of pots with soil and moisture, so I wanted something waterproof. I did use it briefly outside for an automatic cat-food dispenser while on vacation, and it worked then, too. I like that it is simple; even with no instructions, it was easy to figure out.Just pull up the tabs for when timer should be off and push down tabs for when timer should be on. Remember to set the current time by turning the dial until the arrow points to it, taking note of AM hours (black numbers on white background) vs. PM hours (white numbers on black background). For example, in my photo I have the timer on from 7 AM to 11 PM.To keep the power on continuously (to bypass the timer function, basically) just slide the switch to ON.I've had a few of the cheaper timers like this over the years, and they inevitably seem to break. This one is sturdy looking, and since it is designed for outdoor use, I am hoping it will also stand the test of time (pun intended)!

The timer was easy to set and with a longer cord can be plugged in higher above the ground. That makes for ease of use. A good buy.

I have bought two of these and use them to control my christmas and garden uplights. Because my plugs are really close to the ground I cannot wall mount the plug so I put it in a leftover small plastic storage or spinach box to keep it well out of the rain and snow. I have a digital outdoor timer that cost a lot more but cannot recall how to program it; and I have other things that require endless fiddling on the internet to program to work the right way ... but this simple mechanical timer works the old-fashioned way, just move the pins to the right time you want the circuit to come on or off. It's impossible to forget how it works. I was impressed by the quality of the plastic case the timer is in and the clear plastic lid that covers the timer face. Well worth what I paid.

Now I've only had mine in use for about 3 days , but all of them worked out of the box . Very simple straight forward operation . I do like that there are no little "on " "off " tabs to loose .

Very easy to use and works great for my backyard lights all around my fence even in cold weather. My lights come on and turn off when I programmed it. No need to go out to plug them in or having to turn them on with a remote. It does all on its own. Great value for the price.
