I bought this for my bearded dragon habitat a week ago. I was thinking there would only be one on off cycle but I was surprised that I was able to really customize the timer to minimize electricity usage. I was able to program the time turn on his UV and heat lamps in the morning, off when he is getting direct sunlight through the window and back on again when he's in the shaded, then off at night for bed time. It was easy to program and works really well.

Used for my Christmas lights. It turned my lights on and off. I can also use the non timer for regular use.

This has really come in handy for me. I'm using this in my mancave to mainly power my neon lights. I have a lot of lights, and it's time consuming to go around and switch each one on and off. This helps me because now they are plugged into this timer, and I have them set on a schedule of when I want them on and off. I have close to 30 lights, and they are all connected to usb hubs, which are now plugged into this. It really saves me a lot of time and is so much easier and more convenient. So far, all of the functions of this work are great. The build quality of this is very nice. The 6' cord is nice and heavy duty. It comes with a nice clear set of instructions to tell you how to operate it. I'm very pleased with this and it is a good value for what you get.

You have to wait for the next cycle of program for the AUTO mode to match the desired state.Sure you can turn it manually ON, but then you have to turn it OFF then select RANDOM (which always starts with the output OFF) and then get to AUTO.I'm returning mine, I've had an older timer that had better controls. I mean it's 1980s wristwatch technology on a new product and this one still managed to come up short.

Quite a few things threw me on this power strip. It's pretty light and doesn't quite have the beefiness I would expect or want out of a high quality power strip.Not sure how I missed it, but there is *no surge protection.* This is really just a power strip with a built in timer. So, bear that in mind. I wouldn't plug anything expensive or anything I cared too much about into any power strip lacking surge protection.Next thing I need to mention: the plugs are spaced really close together on this, closer than any other strip I own. Only regular type A/B plugs (like your TV or your toaster) will fit comfortably next to or across from each other. Any wall warts, chargers, etc will not fit next to each other at all.Now, what's really important to me, the UL cert: long story short, I was not able to confirm whether this is genuinely UL listed. I looked up the manufacturer, DEWENWILS, on UL's database and they didn't come up. I looked at the UL tag on the back (which says (C) 2013 oddly) and tried looking up the number but that didn't come up either. There are also a couple key elements missing from the UL tag according to UL's own guide which makes me nervous.

This is the first time I've seen a built in timer on a power bar, and I think it's a great idea, I got it for my grow lights. I have a few different grow lights, and each have their own timer, I would like them on and off at the same time, but one set has a timer for 3/9/12h, while the other one has 6/9/12h, and another with 6/12/16h, I also need a power bar for this set up since I only have one outlet, so this power bar plus timer works great! At first, I thought it might be difficult to set, but it is actually quite easy. It has a built in internal battery which saves your settings and 4 outlets are not timed and 4 are linked to the timer. I was surprised, it arrived with the correct day and time already set in, all I had to do was select the timer (1,2,3,4), set the days that I want it to work (all 7 days, weekdays, weekends, a certain day), and then the time for on and off. It was easy and it worked. Now all my grow lights can be in sync and I am not limited by the number of hours that are offered to me. Some plants that need more light can get a few extra hours. There is a random mode that I also like - for instance, on vacation, it can turn the power on and off at random and different times at night, so burglars would think that the house is inhabited. UL certified.

I have a lot of devices that are in storage but need the battery regularity charged. I never manage to remember them before they drain so having this has been excellent for automating the charging cycle during off peak hours.The power bar has 4 normal sockets, and 4 that all run on the programmed times. You can set multiple times for it to be active and it can be set for individual days, weekend, or weekday. I set mine to charge at midnight when cost is cheapest.The built-in battery was still charged when I got the item, and is a great feature so I never have to set the time again. It claims to use a 1.2v internal battery that requires disassembly to change.
