Okay! This is a non biased review from someone who didn't get this product for free!I really like it!! It's nice and sleek. Not bulky at all, which i was totally expecting it to be. Simple on off switch on the cord, however i do set mine up on timer plug ins, just makes it easier for myself. And the brightness switch is on the light itself. I really like all the modes for it. I personally don't think it's too bright at all. It's really nice light and my beardie is absolutely loving it. She's having a great time. I would totally recommend this light. I like everything about it.Also I noticed someone said it was slightly domed so it didn't sit flat? Mine does not have this issue. It sits perfectly on the tank.Someone else addressed that the light was too bright as well.. I opted for the bigger light and we don't have that issue either. Super super happy with this option after I scoured everywhere else for a t5 light. This one is the best and best price.

Easy installation, durability, and it’s cheaper than Arcadia.

Great for the value. I’ve dropped several times and it still works. I’m impressed.

Light housing works just fine it’s a 34†bulb for reference if u need three size but the bulb that comes with the housing is horrible it doesn’t work gave my beardie high blood pressure and he was getting depressed and not eating just need to swap the bulb for an actual t5 10.0 this just wasn’t cutting it as u can see everything is good humidity still needs a fix but the bulb just wasn’t right reptizoo or zoomed for your bulbs they work bought it about a month or two ago for time reference of how it affected my baby

Apparently the bulb comes with a mercury bead in it, which is why it rattles when you move it at all. It would be nice to have that disclosed prior to purchasing since it sounds like a broken bulb. All in all a decent fixture, good customer service.

NOTE: UVB output is severely reduced by mesh screening!!! And nearly all is blocked by glass. This is all UVB bulbs, not just this product. Many herp keepers mount the UVB within the enclosure to ensure the correct amount reaches the animal. Consult the table on the listing for distances. The coil UVB bulbs don’t really work. If you need UVB, go with a T5 tube style.FIXTURE: The unit appears solid, and the bulb arrived intact. The body and reflectors are aluminum, which is what heat sinks are made out of, since it helps dissipate heat quickly. Much nicer than plastic, which can also melt. The thing itself is light weight, which is nice since it also comes with some mounting hardware for both wood and attaching to the mesh from underneath. You can lay it on the mesh as well, just heed note above.36†is a good length for large enclosures. Depending on the animal, the area for UVB coverage will vary, but generally there is a basking spot for them that should have it. So you don’t need a 4 ft light for a 4 ft tank, this will work. The longer the bulb, the more expensive it is, so get the size you need, not necessarily a bigger=better thing. There is a switch on the front has three settings, 50%, 75%, 100%. I really appreciate this feature, as I have leopard geckos. While these guys benefit from UVB, they don’t need as much of it as bearded dragon. This makes it versatile. You can also change it up to simulate more cloudy days, or partly cloudy. Makes a more realistic environment.CORD: On/Off switch on the cord. Working for now, but I have had this type of switch fail. One of my previous UVB lights switch failed. Many of my 4ft led ‘shop’ light I use for plants with this type of switch have failed. I would prefer an on/off switch on the unit itself, though if you are mounting it inside the enclosure, that would be very inconvenient.I’d recommend plugging this into a timer or timer power strip so you don’t have to touch the in line switch at all.Even if the switch goes fail, it is not a hard fix to cut it out and re-splice the line, if you have the few basic tools. Not everyone does, or have the know how/confidence to do so however.BULB: UVB check cards are quite cheap, and you should get one if you need a UVB source. There are more expensive and precise ones if you would like, but the cheap ones will give you an idea of when to change the bulb. You can use the ‘spent’ bulbs as regular light bulbs for a loooong time after.Bulbs generally last 8-12 months. I did test the one sent, and it is giving off UVB like it should.I will update if the bulb fails way before it should, but I don’t see any indication now it will do so.Working at a pet store, I can tell you that the ExoTerra, ZooMed, and Zilla light bulbs were returned allllll the time. Often under a month of purchase, or even a week. (Most of these were the heat bulbs, but the lack of quality there makes me wary about the UVB tubes.I’d recommend to either stick with this brand, or look for something German-made.Overall, I am very happy with this bulb and fixture. The price is in range of other T5 ~36†UVB bulb and fixture combos, and cheaper than some of the common name brands.
