DEWENWILS Outdoor Mechanical Heavy Duty Timer Box
Turn your heavy-duty home devices like water heaters, pool pumps, fountains, spa, mower, air conditioner, other equipment motors, etc. with the heavy-duty mechanical timer switch to make them ON/OFF as you hope.
Operation Instruction
1. Set the current time: Turning the dial clockwise until the arrow indicates the current time.
2. Begin with all pins in the inner ring. Push the pins out for the duration you want the timer ON. Pins in the outer ring represent ON and the inner ring represents OFF.
- Note: Pins indicated by the arrow can not be push out, rotate the dial to make it work.
3. Push the manual override switch to the “CLOCK ” position on the downside of the mechanical dial. You may override the operation of the timer by setting the switch to the “I” position, the power supply will always be ON. You may override the operation of the timer by setting the switch to the “O” position, the power supply will always be OFF.
Be sure to set switch back to the “CLOCK ” for proper timer function.
4. Make sure the electrical device is ON state so the timer box can control it to work properly.
5. If blackout, reset the present time as indicated above.
Note: Timer Box is capable of being configured for 120 VAC, 240VAC or 277VAC.

I purchased this timer 6 months ago. It worked perfectly until last week. Now the timer function does not work. Meaning it does not turn on unless I put the switch to always on. It does still keep time but does not turn on automatically. I wanted update my grade on this product and the seller. As originally stated the timer worked great for 6 month then would no longer turn on at the designated time. After some research I found out that we had had a power outage at the time that it stopped working properly. I guessing due to a lightning strike which is frequent in my area and tend to blow electronics. I purchased a new one, connected it easily and it works great. The seller has been in constant contact and show genuine concern including offering to credit me. I am very happy with this easy to install and operate product and the customer service from the seller.

Using this for our pool pump. The timer is installed inside so not sure about elements but it was easy to install and has been doing its job since we got it. Will update if it fails.

No problems installing, no problems setting the timer and it works great! I’m using it to control my water heater during peak hours and the savings on electricity should cover the costs in just a few months.

This timer works well as do most timers, but it has 2 flaws in my opinion.first is the manual switch, it is too small and not that easy to turn onthe second thing is the wiring hookup. you need spade lugs on your wiring and mine is solid copper wire which doesn't hold spade lugs tight enough and there's not much room to bend the wires for hookup.

Works great! The rubber grommets were a bit of a pain to deal with but they worked ok. Easy to set, hopefully lasts longer than the mechanical type that I previously had

UPDATE: purchased this item June 2023. May 2024 it stopped working. So it lasted 11 months. It did work great until it stopped working. The timer would no longer switch on the pump. You had to manually turn the timer to turn on the pump and the timer would run and turn off the pump. Went ahead and got another mechanical timer made by another manufacturer that is twice as expensive but most people say that timer will last 25 years.Converted our pool pump from 120v to 240v so needed a new timer. Looked at several options including ones that were completely tied to Wi-Fi and some that had digital clocks. After seeing some reviews where people had trouble connecting the Wi-Fi timer to their network, and other reviews were the digital timers ended up having display problems, I went with Old Faithful. You can’t go wrong with a regular mechanical timer. It wired up so easily, as I purchased the suggested wire whip that it recommended, and I even went ahead and installed an emergency shut off. Emergency shut off switch you can get at a big box store or you can order from Amazon as well. This is a regular AC disconnect box. I also ordered the emergency shut off decal from Amazon as well. If something happens to this time, I would order another one like this. I’ve had it for several weeks now and everything works great. The timer also has a constant on, or timer, or off switch.

Easy to install and easy to program with little slide levers around the dial for the time on or off. Out for on, in for off, simple. I replaced a WiFi enabled unit that wouldn't connect to more than one phone, even though it was supposed to. Finally just stopped connecting to any phone. It was a POS. This timer is great!!!

If you have any idea how to wire in a timer, or can understand a schematic, this is a great option. The price is perfect, and it gave us no issues. I was using an Intermatic twist lock timer that went between the twist lock plug and twist lock pool pump. It cost around $85 when I purchased it. It gave me trouble multiple times a week for the last two summers when it finally died. This worked like a dream. I found it an easy DIY projects because I work with timers like this all the time. If you aren't sure what you're doing, pay someone, please.

Works as advertised. Easy to install if you have some electrical knowledge, otherwise will need an electrician to get the wiring correct. Worst aspect is the very small size of the dial.. if installed in a darker or confined space it is difficult to read/set.
