Pleasantly surprised that it comes with the power cord. Did not need it, as i just wanted to attach my own cord for simplicity. No regrets! This is a great item to have vs. unrolling and rerolling.

I gave it 5 stars because the electricity is flowing through. Just checked with very low wattage.But doesn't look heavy-duty, At home depot 14/3 gauges heavy-duty wire looks more thicker...at the other hand, if the plug should light when you plug into an outlet, it doesn't! So the LED light check doesn't work. The switcher on the reel lights! I will edit more after I will use it with some powerful 10 Amps tools... However, at home depot, the price is almost double

I needed to replace some old, dried up, cracked outdoor extension cords and bought this and am happy about it. It is easy to turn the handle to wind up the cord. We needed to put a fan in the crawls space under the house after some flooding so my son got the fan under there and we fed a short outdoor cord we still had and then plugged it into this reel which in turn was plugged into the outside outlet on the house. Very easy to do and connect. the reel in itself seems sturdy, but if you need to anchor it down you can put something weighted on the bars it stands on.

No complaints at all. Easy to use, bright, sturdy, on off switches and multiple outlets. The switch and light is nice but I can't always see if the light is on in very bright sunlight but 95% of the time it is fine.If there was anything I would change it would be to have a version with builtin GFCI protection since not all sockets I use it with have that. Bu I have a GFCI adapter that this reel can plug into I don't need it - assuming I remember to use it.

This is one of the better values for roll-up extension cords. Longer, generous length of cable and larger gauge wire than others at this price, USB ports are good, and the whole thing is solid and compact. Even better, I was lucky enough to purchase it on sale for $20 savings! Very pleased, recommended.
