Ordered these to drill holes in the bottoms of different mediums to make into planters. So far has worked on everything we have tried them on—ceramic, plastic, glass, you name it. These are a very good buy for the money as we have owned these and been using them regularly for six months or so. For the wood and metal we obviously use a different type of drill bit than this, so combined you can do it all!

After years of construction, I was done, or so I thought. Upon a friend's request, I had to break open a section of tiled kitchen floor to re-route a gas line so the stove could be relocated (plenty of other work went into that too). That section of tile also had a radiator, so I needed three holes of two different sizes.I didn't want to pay $70.00+ for two tile hole saws from the big-box store that I would use once, so I ordered these expecting them to be disposable (one or two uses and no good). BUT ... but, these saws cut the porcelain tile like butter and still have plenty of life left - like they haven't ever been used. I could not believe how quickly and easily the job went. Whether novice or pro, you need these in your bag!Also, I like that they don't have a center bit. To use these, I drilled the same size hole in a piece of scrap plywood (with a wood bit) and then used that to keep the hole saw from wandering on initial contact with the tile. I kept the drill slow and steady, and the hole saw nice and wet and within a few minutes of starting, I was done. I couldn't believe it. If you have a tile job, big or small, you'll want these particular hole saws!In construction, surprises and problems are par for the course, but in this case, the surprise was awesome and there were no problems. I think I have posted two or three amazon reviews over 15+ years of buying eleventy-thousand products, and this is the next one because the product is absolutely outstanding, and the price makes it that much better!

Four stars because I've only used one of them and don't know how the smaller bits will work. I had to drill a partial hole at the edge of ceramic tile, not an easy thing to do, but this carbide-tipped drill bit did the trick. I think this would work great for cement backer board, too.There are no instructions for drilling tile given with this product, so I'll recap what I learned on YouTube. Start at a 45-degree angle, because if you place the bit straight down, it will skitter across the tile. Clamp the tile to a wood surface, like a piece of board. (Be sure to use a spring clamp or bar clamp, not a C-clamp.) With a wet sponge, squeeze water onto the tile surface. Begin drilling slowly, and gradually tip your drill over to a 90-degree angle (straight up and down). Drill in about 20-second increments, applying water each time you stop. Take your time, and practice on scrap pieces of tile first so you know what to expect. Test drill from the front and the back to see which one produces the cleanest result and is easier to manage. The image attached is my fifth practice attempt, drilled from the back side of the tile. Good luck!

If you're like me, and enjoy doing projects instead of paying someone these core drill bits are a must have for tile work. Clean and efficient drilling with very little to no chipping. I suggest a spray water bottle to keep the dust down. If your installing shower valves and shower heads these are a gem.

I’m a DIYer and was worried about the price of good diamond bits for tile. This set works great, the holder works as a decent guide with some tape and I was able to tile my shower with this set. I see myself being able to tile anything I want in my house with this set. It’s probably not great for commercial use however for a few projects I was very impressed for the money

Great product for the price. Bits nicely organized in a very sturdy case. Had to drill four small 1/4 inch holes in ceramic tile very near the edges (within 1 1/2 diameters). Smooth and fast. I water cooled the bit but I don't think you had to with these. Holes we're perfectly round with no chipping. Easy to start the hole with the bit at speed and an angle of 45 degrees then just straightened it out and walked it in. Small diameter bit tough to clean with compacted debris, but that was expected.

This came in very handy is not a top end tool but it will do great circular holes.. Really please and great pouch..
