Bought a 9 volt battery because it does not come with a power cord . Let it sit for a day and it would not respond to real diamonds , cz, or anything .... Not a good product .. I returned it in 48 hours.

It costs , it was awkward to hold on tiny stones, the ulta v. light is scary.

I didn't like that it couldn't read all sizes of stones. I inherited jewelry from two relatives and wanted to know if the stones were real or glass.

After getting a 9V battery installed in this diamond tester, I was trying to figure out how to use it based on the fairly basic manual. At first it didn't seem to work at all on the first time it was powered on. After I came back to it a little later and tried again, it worked and was able to test diamonds. I then had to figure out how the "volume" dial increases the sensitivity of the tester. I then tied that back to the manual saying smaller stones would need higher power. This came to be true when I tested larger vs smaller diamonds. I did some testing on glass, and the tester didn't react as expected. Overall, I'm no diamond expert, but based on how I used it after the initial issues, this seems to work fine.

Per the instructions, this unit ***CANNOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN DIAMOND and MOISSANITE***. This information is not shown on the product page, and, in fact, the product page indicates that it can not only distinguish diamond from moissanite, but natural from lab-grown diamond. Since lab-grown and natural diamonds are chemically identitical I don't believe this particular claim either, but I wasn't able to test it.All that being said, the reason I couldn't even continue to use and test the device was the insanely loud beeping that seemed to go off for absolutely no reason, and whose volume could not be turned down. An absolute piece of garbage at any price, and it gave me a migraine.

Al recibir el producto no funcionó, fÃsicamente se veÃa muy bien, pues no sufrió de golpes en el traslado, sin embargo, parece ser una falla de fábrica. El vendedor se comunicó conmigo para hacer un peritaje del problema y optó por hacer la devolución del 100% de mi dinero sin necesidad de retornar el producto defectuoso.Definitivamente, es un vendedor serio y comprometido con la satisfacción del cliente.
