The Dicor Butyl tape backing paper would not release. It took me nearly an hour to find enough good tape on a 30 foot roll to cover a 14 inch perimeter for my new Maxxfan. I will never buy Dicor Butyl tape again and do not recommend this installation kit because of it.

lets see once it rains! lol It seems to have installed as it said it would. Pack could probably use TWO scrapers, but they are cheap anywhere, so...

Most people don't even say "lap sealant" ---- The brand is used instead of the name, like ordering a "coke" instead of a soda. People will say "I applied the Dicor". Needless to say, good stuff. Does what it is intended to do. I purchased the package because it was cheaper than buying two tubes and a separate roll of Butyl tape separately. I did not actually need to install a new vent, but used it to secure a StarLink dish to the roof of my travel-trailer without drilling any holes. Used the butyl tape to secure the feet, and then poured a nice amount of lap sealant around each foot to finish it off. The mount is solid, and, as the trailer is on a seasonal site, I don't worry about it coming loose while driving.
