Since I have been making more videos and taking still pictures than ever, I decided to dig my Canon Elf SD 950 IS out of retirement. Smartphones made standalone cameras redundant, when their cameras started becoming as good as they are now. Flagship phone cameras now can do things that an expensive, dedicated, standalone camera could not do 20 years ago. For example, my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 200 megapixel main camera and a 12 megapixel, ultra-wide camera among others. 20 years ago, 12 megapixel was considered a lot, on my premium, titanium Canon Elf.This black tripod is exactly what is needed to use a standalone camera for desktop videos. Most of my reviews and videos focus on items that I can put on my desk. There is only a single way to mount this tripod to a camera, without any kind of adapter. Most cameras come with a threaded round slot at the bottom, called the tripod mount or tripod thread, as does my Canon Elf. It is generally a female 1/4-20 thread which permits any camera to be attached to a tripod with a male screw. This tripod comes with precisely that male screw. There is a lever on the tripod which, when open, permits the screw to be moved at a roughly 170 degree angle. Locking the lever also locks the screw in place. The 'legs' of the tripod spread out with minimal effort and remain spread out in place, when in use. The user dictates whether the three legs of the tripod are minimally spread (making it taller) or maximally spread (making it shorter). It comes with a spirit level gauge, which is a first for me on any tripod, and I have owned a few. From research, the spirit level assists the user in making sure that the camera is "perfectly level and horizontally-aligned." It does this by showing the user when the camera "is positioned straight with no tilt." This is supposed to allow the user to take "a straight and balanced shot." I have never used it, do not know how to use it and do not intend to use it.In all, it is a simple device that does one thing, and one thing well. The lack of adapters to convert it to a phone camera tripod, and the inability to extend its length does somewhat limit the versatility of this tripod. But if the user is looking strictly for a tripod for conventional cameras or other devices with a tripod mount to use for tabletop videos, he/she can do no wrong by selecting this tripod.

I like this Digicharge Mini Tripod for Camera, but I messed up: missed that it does not include the phone grip. Overall I really like this Digicharge Mini Tripod for Camera for its design, light weight, and fairly easy use, but without the camera grip attachment I can't test it yet. The design has it as a really lightweight tripod and decently small so you can stick it in a bag, purse, even a pocket (within reason of course). I specifically grabbed the Digicharge Mini Tripod for Camera for keeping in our day bag or wife's purse (or my pocket) to have on days out.The three legs spread easily, but this is one of two minor CONS I have: they can too easily move when bumped or adjusting. Without being able to test the phone on top, at this point I can't speak to how easy it'll be for these legs to fall, slide, or somehow change their adjustment due to the added weight. I will UPDATE if there is an issue and at the point might take off a star(s). The other CON is the turning and locking section at the top. I'm still struggling a bit to get each part to be correct at the right time. No, it's not that it isn't easy, but it's about knowing which part to tighten/move/open/lever in/our.... at which time. I know it'll become muscle memory, but right now it is a bit frustrating. Again, not enough at this time to deduct a star. There is a small leveling bubble, but at times it's well used, while it can also be a pain. I've found that as I try to adjust the legs, they will easily move beyond what I want and it becomes like an arcade game. True of all leveling bubbles, but this is a bit more... frustrating than I usually experience. Yet overall I do like this Digicharge Mini Tripod for Camera and am looking forward to getting a good phone grip so I can start using.PHOTOS:1-3. I have an older carbon fiber mini hand tripod that I have been using for years and is now exclusively to be used with my mirrorless camera because it works so well. So I needed something similar for my smaller cameras (action 4 and pocket 3) and smartphone when I am filming with them. The Digicharge Mini Tripod seems to fit the bill. For the price at the time of this writing of $9.99, it is as cheap as it costs, but it does the job. I would say the materials and construction are low, but acceptable quality given the price. The legs fold up to become the grip and are made of rubber. There are 2 height settings for the tripod, which is similar to my old one, although the lowest setting does not really go as low/flat to the table as I like. The ball head is made of cheap metal housed in cheap plastic. But like I said, at the price point, it does the job and will not dazzle you. My favorite part about this is that you can remove the ball head part of it and use it for something else with a quarter inch thread so there’s some unexpected extra utility there. Overall, I am satisfied with the tripod. (photos show my old tripod in comparison with the Digicharge)

Handy little tripod that provides a much more stable grip in your hand, especially if you are moving around shooting live video. The handle is three legs that spread out wide for a stable stationary base for your camera and the head has a cam lock handle to allow you to make easy adjustments for angle and pitch. A convenient lever locks it in place. Even a bubble level that is a bit small to read but you can easily tell if you're close. With a standard cell phone clamp (not included) this tripod is excellent for filming on the go and still be able to set your camera down securely with the legs spread.

As dinky tripods go this is pretty good. It's mainly plastic, but quite sturdy, and there's a bubble level on the main body for ensuring that it's level (although your camera goes on top of this, on a ball joint, so I'm not sure how useful that will be!). A collar on it lets you change how far the legs spread out between two limits, and the widest one is stable enough to hold a DSLR. With legs folded it makes a good handle, which is very handy for me - I have an old digital recorder that creaks when held in the hand but has a tripod mount, so it's going to live on this when in use. It's not perfect, hence the score of 4/5. Unlocking the ball joint is a bit of a snapping-plastic affair and there's no way to lock the legs in place, which I would've appreciated. That being said it's a perfectly reasonable tabletop tripod at the price (currently £10) and should last for a while.

Digicharge Mini TripodI wanted this tripod to support a trail camera I have, and it works just like I had hoped it would. It has a standard 1/4-inch thread, so my trail camera will screw to this easily. The tripod legs spread out quite wide, so it offers reasonable stability, considering trail cameras are quite tall compared to a normal camera. There is a lever clamp that holds the ball joint in the position required. When the legs are fully open, the screw thread is approximately 12cm above the ground. The quality is also good for this price point of just under ten pounds at the time of this review. This has been a good find for me.

This is a compact, foldable tripod with a locking ball and socket joint to position your camera. It has a standard screw fitting for a 1/4" 20 thread mount, and can be used with a "phone clamp", as long as it has a standard size thread. The build quality isn't that great, it has a plastic chassis with folding legs which do open up to provide a secure base for your camera, and there is a bubble spirit level built into the camera housing to make sure the base is flat, but it doesn't really present as a premium product. That being said, it performs perfectly as a foldable stable tripod base for a camera or phone, and at £9.99 it seems like reasonable value.

I really like this mini tripod, camera handle. When closed up and using as a camera handle, it's a sexy ergonomic and fits the hand really nicely with a really good feel. As a mini tripod, it works really well. This is ideal for taking those selfies with a general camera. The quality of this looks really good, and has really nice feel to both of the hand and the workmanship. Overall a great little mini tripod that will give you more control over your camera.

This product comes inside of a cardboard box, once opened, you'll see the mini tripod - as off reviewing this product, it is priced at £9.99 - I do think that this is of-value.The product is a desk tripod, and it's good for product photography - the product holds my camera quite well (z50 with a medium weight lens), but I feel like the product might tip a bit if more weight is put on it.The product will be pretty good for smaller lights. The product can hold about a kilo with no issues thoughThis product also has a nice levelling bubble, which is quite useful.I would recommend this product, it is better for smaller cameras though.
