Very touchy screen that would reset if touched at all. Not trustworthy. Tried changing the battery, same problem. Will end up throwing away as it's too late to return.EDIT: Increased score from 1 star to 4 because of the customer service. customer service messaged me after leaving a review and refunded me for the item and has said they have informed the manufacturer. Seller is fantastic!

I ordered this to have on hand for various projects. It came in handy when building a shed. The roof was not any of the standard pitches, so this item made it possible for me to easily find my angle for rafters and duplicate them on the saw. It was easy to use and proved to be accurate. Quality is good and the display is sharp and readable outside. The price is fair. I am pleased with this purchase.

When I first got this it worked fine. Used it many times for a project that required good accuracy, but not to nearest degree. But after the project was done, it sat for 2 or 3 months and when I tried it again, it was totally crazy. I'd zero it when closed, and then started to open it up to achieve a 45 degree angle. But just after I started to open it, it suddenly jumped to 500 degrees, then jumped back to 140 and so on. So, shut it off, waited a short time, tried it again. Same result. Today I turned it on and with no moving of the arms it the readings starting jumping all around crazily. So clear the electronics were failing badly and it's totally useless. I wonder if other have had this issue.

Seems to do the job well enough for carpentry and small woodworking projects. Good price.Soon after I got it, something got loose and there was a good 5-10 degrees of slop: the ruler would move but the angle readout wouldn’t change. This made it difficult to get an accurate measurement.I scrapped it for a few months, kicking myself for buying cheap, no-name tools again.At some point I realized I could open up the back, where there had been a sticker or something. This revealed four tiny screws. Several were clearly loose.After tightening these screws, which took no more than a minute or two (see picture,) it worked well again. I didn’t use anything (thread lock. Nail polish, etc.) to secure the screws. It would have taken much longer to return this and buy another one, and I suspect that this problem plagues other similar models - I would possibly have had to do it again regardless.
