Price was reasonable and arrived well packaged. Taught grandson how to use in matter of minutes. He went around shop finding angles and degrees. This is one tool that will be well used. Buy it if you do trim work, building a deck, any project involving cuts that need to accurate.

Originally bought the aluminum version of this from Sawset but returned and got this plastic version instead…and I’m glad I did. The aluminum version is well built, but one thing I did not realize is that the aluminum version doesn’t have the raised rectangular notch in the center to butt up against the t-bevel for consistent, worry-free, and no-guess angular measurements. Speeds up the process especially if you have multiple measurements to take (large rooms, crown molding etc.). This plastic version seems super durable and for the price it would be cheap to replace if it ever wears out someday (which I dont foresee). Easy to read scale (I found this plastic version’s scale more user-friendly and easier to read over the aluminum version). Also, I searched forever to find a reliable and sturdy t-bevel to go with this. The only one that had consistently great reviews and solid construction (aluminum) was made by O’Skoole. Absolutely love it and I know it will last a lifetime! Has a super clever and sturdy tightening mechanism that can be done one-handed.O'SKOOL Sliding T Bevel Gauge... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSK2SWDH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I haven't the chance to use it, but the Sawset Miter Saw Protractor appears to be well made. Constructed of thick ABS plastic. So thick, at first glance, I thought it was made from aluminum. On one side you'll see the protractor scale for double miters, flip it over and you have the scale for single miters. Brilliant! Best of all the graduations are easy to read, cut of appropriate depth, and contrast well with the overall black color. As far as scales are concerned, it's pretty to look at. I cannot comment of accuracy because I have yet to use it, but it screams quality and I'm sure it is dead on accurate. The ad claims no math required. That caught my interest real fast! I can't wait to put it to work and finish my baseboard trim project. I feel I can recommend the Sawset Miter Saw Protractor from a hands-on inspection. If anything, it would look good on your pegboard above your workbench.

It is a plastic item, so be careful in handling it so you don't ding it up. I hope the markings on it are well applied...I am not sure how long they will last, thus the four stars instead of five. I cut the use instructions off of the packaging and tied them onto the item for future reference. It is easy to use and has become a part of my metrology kit.

Woodworkers are like fisherman, they'll bite on anything that promises fast and perfect results and I'm one of the worst. In over 40 years of hobby and professional work I've emmassed a drawer full of angle finders, protractors, precision squares, and every gizmo and doodad to come down the pike. Almost none of which I use. The Sawset is one of those "why didn't I think of that " inventions. It's unbelievably simple and easy to use. The graduations are easy to read at a glance; even for my old eyes. I've found myself reaching for it constantly. The accuracy is dead- nuts as well. This little tool is so easy I can see all sorts of uses outside the shop doing design work etc. Ever wonder what angle would look good in a project? Cut a try piece , record it with your square and never lose the angle after you walk away. I like this little guy so much I had to buy nice rosewood square ( to go with my 4 ugly ones) to use with it. Yes, I'm nuts.

This does what starrett does only does a lot better and easier large easier to read numbers easy to transfer with t-bevel gauge will never do another final carpentry without this and a digital electronic measure and a metric tape measure to go with the digital measure set on metric takes finish carpentry to a new level and I think a patient amateur can get a great outcome with this with a good saw

Recently, my wife asked me to add wainscotting to our house. Only issue was that I had never done it before and the project was to be completed on the stairway. The angled cuts for the top rail had to be exact and I couldn't figure out how to make the two pieces meet without a gap. The Sawset Miter Protractor solved the mystery of the double bevel cut! The protractor helped me figure out the exact angles to cut the top rail. The project would not have been completed without it. It is a simple tool, but definitely saves the frustration of trying to make difficult, angled cuts.
