The whole outer surface where the velcro can possibly stick, is available to do just that. I like the drawstrings keeping a constant consistent pull of the same degree and strength. I like that the hand and wrist can be really snug and the upper mid arm can be just a tad loser to accommodate my bangle bracelet which is always on and hard to get off. It seems I have developed carpel tunnel and I think the stability is helping it heal very well.

I like the $25 price. I like that the light sensor is not fixed onto the meter, so I can view the meter no matter which direction I hold the sensor. I like that it can show Lux or Foot Candles. 1 Foot Candle equals 10.74 Lux. The brief instructions show charts for optimal light in different milieu--but not for house plants! The default measure displayed is Lux. At the bottom right of the display appears either 10x or 100x. The instructions don't explain these values. Thus, in direct sunlight, the display showed about 1200 Lux, but maybe 2000 Lux in shade! Finally, I noticed that the 10x & 100x were factors by which to multiply the figures in the display. In the sun, the multiplier was 100x, but in the shade, it reduced to 10x. I switched to Foot Candles, because I find the lower numbers easier to use. 50 FC & below are dark, so that plants my die or just not grow. 50 - 200 FC are low light. 200+ FC includes medium to bright light. Later, I did more research on light meters & learned that Candle Power & Lux meters measure light as humans perceive it, not as plants do! PAR meters measure the spectrum as plants utilize it. I lamented that I had chosen wrong--until I found the cheapest PAR meter cost $178!

I have used this in comparison with my friends professional model he has and it was just as accurate as his $700 unit. So I'm very pleased with it.P.S. - Don't forget to remove the cover before testing a light 😉

This lux meter looks well built, I like the illuminated display. However, it is not appropriate for professional use, it has low sensitivity and does not record measurements at low light levels, of less than 5 lux.

Took it out of the same box and one was reading a different value then the other. Disappointed in the quality control and faulty product.
