This light meter seems to work well, and operation is simple. I used this to measure the light levels in a workshop that I am constructing, to ensure the lighting design provides sufficient illumination. Took it out of the box and had measurements in just a few minutes.

Works Great & Very Accurate! I have grow lights at 40,000 Lux level to the plants and when I put Oakley sunglasses over the sensor it drops the level significantly to healthy eye levels like quality glasses should

The readings were very consistent. I don't have another Lux meter to compare it with. This was accurate enough to tell me what I needed to know and make necessary adjustments. The outcome from which is already obvious. Very happy with my purchase.

Pros – Decently-made, well packaged, looks nice... and that's about it!Cons – Absolutely minimal Instructions — most modes and some functions are not described at all!Unit purchased seems to measure temperature okay, but light readings are all over the place — room light, lamp light, daylight, open shade; all seem random and inconsistent, even with new alkaline batteries. Readings seem similar for widely different light levels! Device is totally useless as a light meter. (But, at least the plastic sensor cover seems to work nicely...)
