Dedicated smoke mode with user-controlled feed rates for low temperature smoking. Tips:

1. Remove the two screws on the old controller.

2. Remove the pellet hopper (it's only held on by 4 screws). You could remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the hopper to make the final installation easier.

3. Feed the old controller through the front of the hopper. This will allow you to completely remove the pellet hopper and get it out of the way.

4. Install the temperature probe (RTD).

5. Cut all the the zip ties. 6. To keep from improperly connecting the wires or having to study the wiring diagram, simply disconnect the old wires (pull apart the molex connectors with a slight rocking motion)and reconnect the new wires one at a time.

6. At this point your done with the connections.You could turn on Traeger briefly to make sure the fans turned on and the LED illuminated. Make sure there aren't any wires interfering with either fan.

7. Feed the new controller through the hole in the hopper.

8. Attach the hopper.

9. Attach the controller.

10. Look under the hopper to make sure there aren't any wires interfering with the fan(use more zip-ties if necessary), and install the bottom of the hopper.

This Digital Thermostat Kit works great with our Traeger pellet grill! The LED display is clear and easy to read, and the temperature control panel provides precise adjustments. The 7" RTD temperature sensor probe is very accurate, making grilling a breeze. It was easy to install and has significantly improved our grilling experience. Highly recommend this replacement part for anyone with a compatible Traeger grill!

Needed to replace the controller in my traeger lil tex. Works good as newEdit: forgot one important note. The upper hole was too small for the screw so I had to run a 5/32 drill through it to make it fit. Not a problem for me, but for others that may not have a drill lying around, now you're warned.

Great price, works great, little difficult to install as wires were not marked as on original, had to read small print on circuit board, real small print, instructions woukd have been helpful.

This replacement part is total junk. It does not regulate temperature to any degree. Grill instead just accelerated to max temperature. Disappointed! Just trying to save everyone their hard earned money. Hope this helps.

Bought this because i broke the knob off my treager and needed to replace the entire unit. It has been a solid replacement and works BETTER than the OEM.
