My husband needed this to connect his synthesizer to the laptop, and it was exactly what he'd hoped. The materials appear to have a good quality. There was no problem to connect it and it works great.

Works great! Does what it I need it to do which is to connect my electronic drum set to my computer. The cord is longer than I expected. There’s a blue light on the usb stick side to let you know it’s connected; which is very useful. It shows up in my DAW and drum programs as “USB Midi Interfaceâ€. At a better price than most music stores. Arrived pretty fast for standard shipping.

Works better than the extremely cheap midi cables. Fewer issues. Truly plug and play , where cheaper units fail.I did not test SysEx midi, but expect cable will work well with short sysex commands.SysEx commands used to backup / stream a devices patch settings would be an interesting test.I highly recommend this midi cable as it is less finicky than other cheaper cables I have used.

This works great, but I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work initially. Another reviewer mentioned they had to swap so in went into out port and out went into in port. I did that and it worked! Not sure why this is the case but I wanted to let any other users having an issue know about this possibility!

Background: I am a professional software developer with extensive experience with MIDI programming (since the 1990s) having written MIDI software application and device drivers.Despite other reviews claiming that SysEx "works okay", I am afraid this is just another poor-quality USB MIDI interface that actually cannot pass SysEx messages of even moderate size without corruption. It is possible the other reviewers only tried passing relatively short SysEx messages. After performing a simple "loopback" test (that is, with the interface connected to itself for passing test messages), it was clear that this interface (at least the version I received) will consistently drop the 4082nd byte of any SysEx messages that is longer. The message will always terminate with an "EOX" byte (0xF7), but the 4082nd byte of data will be missing... either replaced by the EOX (for messages exactly 4082 bytes long) or by the other subsequent data bytes being "shifted up" by one (for any message longer than 4082 bytes). In either case, the message will have been corrupted and rendered unusable by whatever software or device was supposed to receive it.This performance is actually better than most. Other "commodity" USB interfaces often lose it with SysEx messages somewhere around 32, 128, 256, etc. bytes, which is most likely indicative of some internal buffer overflowing, and lack of rigorous real-world testing that would have revealed the issue. In short, the longest SysEx message you can reliably transfer with this interface is 4082 bytes. In is interesting to note that, not counting the start and end bytes (0xF0, 0xF7), 4080 is divisible by "computer numbers" like 16 (e.g., 4080 / 16 = 255), which may be indicative that this interface, too, suffers from some kind of internal buffer overflow bug, just not one triggered as "early" as those of other interfaces. My advice: If you only require use of Note On/Off and other tiny messages, and never utilize the full MIDI data volume, this interface might be adequate for your needs. But, if you also want to robustly transfer SysEx dumps (typically several kilobytes long) between your computer and synthesizers, you are likely to face insurmountable issues trying to use this interface. In the latter case, my advice would be to move along and try a different product.

This did the job to use a midi program on my iPad to change sounds in a midi sound module. I used a USB adapter to plug it into the iPad. Then it worked fine. Realize that it does not put enough power out through the midi plug to run a midi merger or similar device. But I didn't need it for that. For the basic job, it worked fine.

Worked perfectly when installed. You need to be careful with the 'in' and 'out' labels on your synthesizer. My 40 year old Korg worked great with this cable once I finally realized that 'in' and 'out' had different meanings than I expected.

This MIDI/USB cable works great and solved an issue I was having with transmitting MIDI over USB to my iPad for a particular piece of software. Just what I was hoping for and a pretty cheap solution too.

MIDI input from this adaptor had wrong notes now and then. This made it useless for my setup at least. Setup: Casio synth to iPad via apple usb c camera adapter. Debugged midi signal with the iPad app midi wrench.

Funciona perfectamente. La he conectado a una baterÃa electrónica Yamaha dd75 al pc y ha funcionado a la primera. Buen producto a buen precio. A ver cuánto dura, creo que será duradero porque el producto se ve resistente.
