This is my first Gimbal ever. I'm still learning all of the functions. So far it is amazing and feature packed. Definitely worth the money.

I love it. It is not heavy to me. It allows me to have better videos by keeping the phone more stable than by hand. It is compact and folds up and stored in its own container. It has a lot of functions that I am still learning. Overall, this is a great product and worth the price. The targeting is awesome.

This gimbal is excellent, and you wouldn't expect anything different from DJI. For the basic gimbal itself, I don't notice anything significantly different than the Mobile 6.The built in tripod is convenient, as it means fewer accessories to worry about, but it isn't as sturdy feeling as the included one from previous models. The biggest improvement comes in the multifunction module, which frees the user to any camera app they'd like. It takes some practice to really get the hang of using the gesture controls, but that's expected of any new tech. The innovation comes in how it allows the user to work from any camera app.The other feature that I like is being able to charge your phone from the gimbal itself. This is useful if you are low on phone battery and need to get a little bit more juice out of it. However, it does take from the gimbal battery itself.Ultimately, the pro model is great if you want the features of the multifunction module. If you already have the 5 or 6, I wouldn't necessarily upgrade just for the standard 7, and the 7P is only if you really want the freedom to use a different camera app. Recommend though, if you are getting a new gimbal or want to use any type of app with tracking.

I have to say that I’m really excited to share my initial thoughts on the brand-new DJI Osmo Mobile 7P! If you’ve done some vlogging, you know that good lighting is everything, and the 7P has a feature that's a game-changer: a built-in fill light! Plus, having used the Osmo Mobile 6, I can already see some key improvements. I've been playing around with it for a few days, and honestly, I'm impressed. In a world where so many things “upgrade” only to find out they’re problematic and more cheaply made, it seems like DJI just keeps notching up their products.First off, setup was pretty straightforward. If you're like me and sometimes get intimidated by tech, don't worry! This gimbal was surprisingly easy to get going (they have options for more sophisticated users or instructions for entry-level users discovering the gimbal for the first time. The instructions were clear, and pairing it with my phone (yes, a slightly antique iPhone 12) was easy. Seriously, within minutes I was ready to start filming. Now, the real test: how does it perform out in the wild? And yes, literally in the wild. I took it on a quick trip to our local state park and put it through its paces. The stabilization was really good. Obviously no gimbal will take out all of the unwanted motion, but my videos were much smoother than anything I've shot handheld. No more shaky cam, which is a HUGE plus for travel vlogs or just chasing the kids around the house. I was able to walk, run (okay, maybe briskly walk! …waddle?), and even navigate some bumpy terrain, and the footage stayed remarkably stable. This is a game-changer for getting those professional-looking shots while you’re on the move. One of the things I love is how compact and portable the Osmo Mobile 7P is. It folds down to a really small size, so it easily fits in my backpack. Pocket size? Maaaaybe not, depending on the size of your pockets, but really does pack a lot into a tiny (yet solid) frame. This is essential for travel – I don't want to be lugging around bulky equipment. It's lightweight too, which is a lifesaver when you're filming for extended periods. And speaking of quality, the build of this thing is impressive! It feels really solid and well-made. Very ergonomic too, it fits comfortably in my hand. Definitely a step up from the 6 in terms of feel. It has some extra heft with the new features, but you barely notice the weight, and I find the slightly larger handle actually better for stabilization. Extend the tripod (more on that in a bit) and you can film with two hands for extra stability in your shots. The controls are intuitive. I was able to quickly adjust the settings and switch between modes without fumbling around. The joystick is responsive, and the buttons are conveniently placed. Even if you're a newbie to gimbals, you'll pick it up quickly. As always, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but after a few days it’ll all feel intuitive.I was able to film in low-light conditions and the light provided just the right amount of illumination to make my videos look professional and well-lit. No more struggling with harsh shadows or grainy footage in dimly lit areas! There are a number of adjustments to the lighting based on brightness and temperature, and I was almost always able to fine-tune it to the conditions.Another great feature is the built-in tripod. It's cleverly integrated into the handle and makes it so easy to set up stable shots without needing a separate tripod. This was super handy for setting up the camera to track my wife and I out on the trails, and we didn’t have to lug around and attach an extra accessory. It was super easy to pull out and deploy. Plus, the fact that the gimbal extends like a telescoping selfie-stick is fantastic! It gives you so much more flexibility for getting different angles and perspectives. Perfect for those selfie-style vlogs or when you want to get a wider shot. This extending feature is another nice addition compared to the 6.Battery life seems pretty decent so far. DJI advertises 10 hours, though I haven't fully drained it yet. I've filmed for a few hours and it's still going strong. You can also charge your phone from the gimbal as well, which depletes the battery more quickly but is great in an emergency when you’re filming and your phone battery is about to die.Okay, so are there any downsides? Honestly, nothing major yet. The software can be quirky and if you don’t balance the phone correctly in the clip in gimbal can struggle a bit.Overall, I'm impressed with the DJI Osmo Mobile 7P. It's a fantastic gimbal for filming, if you’re just starting out or an expert. Even with the slightly more expensive 7P model, I find the price very accessible. It's easy to use, incredibly portable, delivers smooth, professional-looking footage and great lighting thanks to the built-in light. The added bonus of the integrated tripod and extension rod makes it even more versatile. These upgrades from the 6 make a real difference. If you're looking to elevate your videos, I highly recommend checking this out.

I can see how this would be very handy for basic vlogging, travel videos, family movies etc. However, the tilt range (ie which also translates to the ability to keep the camera forward facing) when you try to"jib like" shots is super limited. You quickly wind up tilting the camera up or down even when trying to lock tilt off at zero degrees. Also the spinning shots can't go 360 without the arm coming into view. That's of course, not unique to the OSMO, but it's worth noting that these compact gimbals do have their limitations. If you are planning on using any filters, forget it. I added a Sandmarc filter and it couldn't handle the weight. Also, unlike the Osmo 6, there is no longer a place to screw in counterweights, so that's a pretty substantial change that I haven't heard any reviewer mention. Finally, the tripod legs are tenuous at best. They look primed to break off or at least fall over. And watch yourself pushing it back in or you're going to get your hand pinched.I have a somewhat aging Crane M2 which has been outstanding in many ways with more shooting modes that are much more cinematic than this can do, but it has no tracking features and in that sense, the Osmo Mobile 7 is probably better for many types of "people" shots.Worth noting that the build quality feels...OK...but it's not a super solid feeling piece of kit and I am concerned that the plastic telescoping extension rod which looks pretty cheaply built, will not hold up with repeated use.Anyway, my honest two cents. For people with very basic needs, it'll be more than adequate and offers a lot in a very small package. For those doing anything other than vlogging or amateur style filming, you'll want something that can handle more weight and that is more robustly built.

I had an OM6 before and this thing definitely had the improvements I wanted to see. This is more pocket friendly, as tripod is actually built in; seems a bit less stable though than the OM6 which had way bigger legs. Folding/unfolding is no longer an origami puzzle, it’s quick and easy and the phone clip can live attached too when folded. The phone clip is an improvement. The “multifunction piece” is neat. It has a light (even with different colour temperatures lol), it can charge your phone, and the native Camera app on the iPhone works well with tracking and gestures. Awesome. Miss the orange accents though and no stickers were in the box. Also the unboxing was unsatisfying, it came inside the pouch bag, like it’s been used or something...strange. Overall great though.

Great gimbal so far. I am writing this with about a week plus use, I have used OM 5 in past and this gimbal blows it out of the park. I have an iPhone 15 Pro that I use with this and all of the features seem to just work without much hassle. Especially love the new multifunctional module, while I don't have a DJI mic to use it with, the light and the tracking features are pretty solid.

The DJI Osmo7 Pro offers a user-friendly experience with its straightforward operation. Simply power it on and adjust the arm to quickly enter shooting mode without any hassle. The device boasts impressive build quality—it’s durable, compact, and easy to carry. The multifunctional module is compact and integrates seamlessly with my phone’s camera. It features a built-in light, which is particularly useful for capturing quality shots in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the built-in tripod is a thoughtful addition, allowing for easy setup and hands-free shooting.Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase!
