The gimbal is shutting off before finishing. Having a hard time how to turn the gimbal trying to balance.The gimbal should balance automatically soon as you turn it on with the camera Bluetooth connection is engaged. My Atom brand does that.

They call this a stabilizer but your go-pro probably has stabilization built in already, and a gimbal is a different thing really, it's less about stabilizing from jolts (up, down, side to side movements) and more about stabilizing perspective as it would be turned. It does a great job at that. Be warned though, combining stabilization and a gimbal can make your videos much clearer and easier to watch, but can also make everything look really slow and boring.

I have already used it on jobs and it functions perfectly. It is well made from good materials and is a really great price for what you get. If you want that super smooth and steady look for your action cam this is for you. I do recommend using your cams phone app as a companion to more easily access all camera features, however that is not strictly necessary. The gimbal itself has allot of features that you would expect from any pro gimbal. This will give those cinematic stability shots you are looking for. I am so grateful have it and it so easy to use

I got this stabilizer for my GoPro Hero 11 and it was the perfect addition to my filming experience. The stabilizer being water resistant was great for using when we take the motor boat out for the weekend as holding a camera can become quite difficult at high speeds. The gimbal performs flawlessly too supporting the camera and producing fantastic videos of us on the boat. Even when we punch it the gimbal is able to keep the camera stable and working. The Bluetooth connectivity was a bit of a hassle at first but that has more to do with the GoPro vs the stabilizer, after the initial connection I was able to easily reconnect my GoPro multiple times after the fact. The battery life is pretty good too and I was able to easily get more use from the Gimbal than I was the battery life of my camera. Overall this is a great stabilizer for my action camera and has already produced very good videos and images that I'll be able to remember for years to come.

Once you get the hang of the controls and the modes, it's pretty easy to use, though there's definitely a bit of a learning curve. Camera fits in easily and is very secure in the mount. App control is solid, but not as fast or intuitive as the built in controls.Walking stabilizes easily, though there is still motion visible from running, especially on uneven terrain. It does still deliver quite usable footage in all but the worst jolting movements, though.

The iSteady Pro4 is a lightweight small gimbal for action cameras. The mounting method should support most cameras on the market, as long as they are similar to a typical GoPro. I tried it with my DJI Osmo Action and also a much smaller cheap camera and both were held securely in the gimbal.The gimbal is definitely best suited for GoPro cameras as these support the buttons on the gimbal - you can start recording and also switch between photo and video modes. On all the other brands you have to use the buttons on the camera or voice control if supported. On my DJI Action the voice control was the easiest to use.The product has a companion app that is useful for finetuning the gimbal's parameters. Very useful - for example when I was testing the small noname camera I've noticed that the gimbal was vibrating because the servos were too strong. With a small adjustment in the app I was able to get proper, smooth movements. The app is not necessary to use the gimbal, but I recommend getting it for the fine control over the gimbal's hardware and for firmware updates.There are a few usage cases where the gimbal pairs with an action camera really well. Obviously if you own an older camera with good video quality, but poor stabilization, then a gimbal will give you buttery smooth video, but even modern devices with excellent built in electronic image stabilization can benefit. My favourite use is when filming after sunset. Using the gimbal completely eliminates the jitter errors from slow shutter speed, visible when action cameras try to stabilize slightly blurry frames. It's really a big improvements. It's also really useful for some special effects. I would not use it in every situation, but it's lightweight and I tend to have it always in the car.Where the iSteady Pro4 falls flat is when used for blogging and filming yourself. Despite the fact that the gimbal can rotate the camera to face the user, it doesn't internally recognize the camera's direction, and all gimbal movements are still the same as if the camera was facing away from the user. Using the gimbal as a selfie stick to let's say walk and film yourself - it simply doesn't work. I think it's a missed opportunity.Build quality is OK, but not amazing. The IPX4 waterproof rating is also disappointing as it's really only suitable for a very light drizzle, where the device mostly stays dry.Overall, I'd rate this gimbal at 3.5 stars, perhaps a bit above that. Decent. It gets 4 stars, because I can't do 3.5 and 3 is too low. Get it on sale if you can.

This gimbal works pretty good with my gopro, giving my nice and stable & smooth videos, something watchable rather than looking like it was filmed by someone with the shakes.It primarily seems to be designed for a gopro with the buttons that are on it.You can also download an app to use with this in order to fine tune the settings which can be helpful.I do like the mini built-in tripod if you need to take a stable and still image. Doesn't take much extra room or add much extra weight for such a convenient feature.

This is a nice stabilizer for action cameras. There is a slight learning curve on how to use it.It holds its charge for a while.Great stabilizer.
