These work really great. I am a mobile DJ and these have allowed me to do some really creative light setups which would have been impossible or require tons of cabling. It was pretty much plug and plug, they just work. One minor complaint, the location of the power supply plug-in on these receivers blocks the use of the DMX out port on several of my lights. Sort of like how a wall wart will use up 2 spaces in a power strip... These take up a little too much space and block plugging a cable into the DMX out... I think this could be avoided by changing the location where the power plug is. My solution is to use a short DMX cable as an extension

My band purchased a different set of wireless DMX transmitter/receivers on Prime Days back in 2020. While initially we were very happy with that product, they did not weather wear and tear well, PLUS it was very difficult to 'see' the LED lights for good/bad connection to troubleshoot if problems arose after raising the light bars into performance position. These are built better, the power supply 'footprint' is smaller for the included wall-warts and the giant LED's that indicate good/badd connectivity is amazing. Two shows in and we are extremely pleased. The only reason I marked it down for beginners has nothing to do with this product. DMX lighting in general is not a 'beginner' topic and certainly not adding wireless to it.

I’ve bought dozens from these and they never disappoint. Compared to competitive brands you can’t beat the price and quality comparison when side by side. The added benefit of changing protocol easily with color coding is helpful with working on two separate systems on different floors. Also working in additional dmx universes.A+ will always buy thesePlease note* do not use when running a matrix led panel. You will experience latency. I suggest running an Ethernet cable to a dmx ttl or dmx node.

The picture on the listing shows a light can with the light power socket on the top and the DMX socket at the bottom. If your fixture is like this OR if the power socket is on the RIGHTSIDE of the DMX socket - then this might work for you.In my case - the light power socket was to the LEFT of the DMX socket. This DMX receiver needs its own power supply that plugs to the left of the receiver. Once you plug that , I was not able to connect the light power socket to the fixture. its one or the other.

I've been using the Chinly dmx products for a year. I did have one of the transmitters stopped working, but they were quick to answer and replace it. For the product itself. It seems to have good connectivity during my events.
