More towards 2 1/2 -3 inches but it’s a good quality and super comfortable. Great price and easy open. Out of box then cut open and let sit flat with a clean smell

Be careful of what you order. I received this bed and it was vacuum packed. It is nothing like the picture and it is not 5 inches....more like 3. Poor quality, very uncomfortable and so I wanted to return this. The company told me I have to vacuum pack the product or it would be very expensive to return it. Where am I supposed to get this vacuum packed to send it back. They did offer me a $15.00 coupon for the mattress I paid over $100.00 for. So, I am out the money and stuck with a substandard product that I will throw away. But hey, I can buy another one for the $15.00 offer. Very disappointed in this company and Amazon.

I use it in my Honda Element for sleeping inside in my van life built camping built. It is a little bit oversized but it is very comfortable. I purchased the full with 4 inch thickness.I also used it for guests at the house to sleep on the floor.Great Product. Can highly recommend!

Wish it came liquid proof, but wasn't hard to clean.My great granddaughter loves it.
