I have a 15 year old dachshund who slips all over the floor. He lays around most of the day, but when he gets up to walk laps around the couch he splats every time he gets to the wood floor. I tried toe grips and those didn’t help. I keep the hair cut back and have also tried paw cream as well. These work great. I don’t have to put the full sticker on either. I usually cut it in half horizontally and just place the bottom part on, leaving his toes alone. This makes a huge difference! He enjoys getting up and walking around. They do only last a few days. We live in Michigan and currently have a lot of snow and they fall off most likely due to that.

UPDATE: 08/21/2020Now that we’ve been using these a few days I can add a bit more information.1) cutting the adhesive patches into 4 and sticking them on the individual pads was a bad idea. They don’t stick very well at all and most fall off by the end of the day. Placing the entire patch on the paw - even though too small - works much better.2) adhesion is a problem. When they’re on, they work. Keeping them on is the issue. Even applying the entire patch to a paw, they still fall off after two days (at best), then must be re-applied. This is particularly true if the dog spends anytime outside.Original Review:Purchased these for my aging male Great Dane. His bare paws slip around a lot on the hardwood floors, and thought these pads might help. They arrived today. Immediately they lose a star for:1) There were no instructions so I just had to wing it based on comments and reviews from others here on Amazon. OK, so I can figure out how to put them on, but . . .2) even the XXXL size is way to small for my Great Dane's paws. To be fair, at 190 lbs he is way over the 80+ lb rating of the XXXL size guideline, but that's as large as they come. So order I did.To make them fit I had to cut them into individual pads for the 4 pads on my dag's paw. So instead of 1 adhesive paw print overlaying all 4 pads of the paw, the adhesive paw print was cut into 4 pieces and stuck to each pad separately. (hope that makes sense). I'm not sure how well they will stick this way, but it's working so far.The good:1) My dog doesn't seem to mind wearing these. He doesn’t even pay any attention to them at all.2) They definitely help him grip the wood surface of the floor. When he goes to get, up his legs don't splay and slip out from under him like they used to. Big thumbs up for this!I'll come back and make updates if things change. Until then you can assume this is working for my dog.

He doesn’t seem to notice there applied. Helps a lot with traction. Easy to apply. But only lasts a couple of days.

There are probably no pet paw grips that will stay on for long periods if your pet goes outside and romps through the grass. I found these to work pretty well and are easy to apply (if you can get the dog to stand still).

My pug Chihuahua had a really hard time walking on the snow until i got these for her. I didn't realize how adhesive they are and the first time i tried to remove them. Boy was that a mistake! Subsequently I just leave them on and let her wear them off. Awesome paw protection since she won't wear her boots! They stay on for at least a week.

I honestly think these are great for what they are. My old farm dog has warn out his pads over the years so they are too smooth for our hard floors. He falls and slips a lot.Found these and decided to give them a try. They work great! I’ll probably have to replace them more than I’d like but that’s ok. They’ve been on him for 2 days now and I only had to replace one. Grated its winter and he can roam where he wants so I’m sure it came off from walking in the snow.Size: he’s about 70lbs and I got him XL and they fit great. Clean the pad really good. I also trimmed his feet hair.

Skip. These probably won’t work for you. Assuming you can size these right for your pup, you’ll also need to shave down their paw pads. Once on my dog, they seemed to help a little with sliding around on hardwood floors. However, you can’t remove them before they go outside without have to discard them and put on new ones. If you leave them on, they will fall off easily when outside. My dog also literally ate them off her paws when I wasn’t looking… but maybe your dog is better behaved ;)

Soft stretchy fabric that can fit the entire paw, or be cut to fit each pad. Peel off backing with a sticky backing that does not leave a residue.I rated these a 4 instead of a 5 because not all dogs will keep them on.Got these for our 10yo German Shepherd mix that does the sock slide when she hits the hard floor. We thought giving her more traction would be helpful for her joints. This is still a sound idea if she didn't peel the pads off 90 seconds after we put them on.I think these are a really nice traction option IF the dog is tolerant of wearing them. IF the dog would leave them on I would have these on a subscription.

I have a 86lb 13 year old chocolate lab with large paws XXL fits like a glove perfectly. His paw pads are also a little bit rough over the years so the stickers actually stick better to a rough surface. He normally slip slides over my laminate wood floor lately it’s gotten really bad, my groomer recommended these and they are seriously life changing for him. My only complaint is that the front paws adhesive wear out fast. I live in very cold and wet eastern Canada and they don’t last very long in the snow or rain. I usually replace front paw stickers every 2-3 days and back paws last about a week, which isn’t bad. Honestly worth the money with the improvements ive seen. He doesn’t try to pick them off either. A must have to senior dogs.
