This thing is tiny but after awhile you'll understand why. We've been using it for about a month now. It has significantly reduced the fly problem. Bags control mess in curb trash bin, no mess to washout.

First caveat is that I do not use this for poop. I use it to hold compost items until I'm ready to take them outside to the composter.It's small, I'm 6ft tall and this isn't even up to my knee. So be prepared to bend over when you put anything it. The lid has 2 ways of opening and this is the main reason I'm taking off the star. There is the open where you put in or take out the trash bags. This is the lid that opens when you step on the foot pedal and when you want to put stuff in the trash can. There is a thinner lid on top of that lid that I can't for the life of me understand what it is for. Its a lid that you have to actually open with your hand. With the can be so small and the fact that you can press the foot pedal to open it up, I'm not sure why that thinner lid is there.I put food scraps and brown compost in. I haven't really had any smells come from it. Then again I'm not sure if I would notice with it being right by my actual trash can. It comes with several bags which is a good thing.

I prefer the smaller poop trash cans in comparison to the larger ones out there. Poop gets heavy, and no way am I planning on picking up a 5 gallon bag of waste. The 1.3 gallon size of this trash can by Kopuncare is the perfect size. Holds about 1 week's worth of my dog's waste for my (2) 60-65 lb English bull dogs. That means my can will need to have it's bag replaced once a week, which works out perfectly with my neighborhood trash pickup schedule. Also, LOVE that it comes with 2 rolls of bags. I actually used the clear protective plastic bag that the waste bin arrived inside within the box as my first bag for my bin.I leave this outside up against the side of my house so that it's sort of protected by the elements. We did have a pretty harsh rainstorm the other night and while the exterior of my can was wet, no water go inside. Nothing worse than having to pick up a waste bag that also has water mixed in.I personally like that it's made of plastic and not metal. I had a metal waste bin that claimed to be rust proof, but it wasn't. Sure, the plastic will probably absorb the smell of the poop (especially in the hot summer), but I don't think it will be a problem for me. I am writing this in the frigid cold of winter, so I'll update my review when summer comes around.Please note, this isn't a sealed container. While it does protect the inside from rain/snow, it doesn't keep smells from escaping. So, like the listing title says 'outdoor', it's an outdoor waste bin.Recommend? Absolutely.

This trash can was smaller than expected and the plastic it is made of thinner and lighter than expected as well. In general plastic is not a great option for things with smells as plastic absorbs and retains scent.The foot pedal works well but as light weight and thin as it is I am not optimistic that it will hold up over time.The size of the bin is incredibly small. It isn’t even large enough to suffice for my cat until garbage day.I don’t believe this is suited for dog poop or anything particularly smelly. It does suit for a small easy to use trash can for smaller spaces though I would recommend treating it delicately to help it last. It is cute in appearance and the size will allow it to fit anywhere.3 stars - ok for use as a regular trash bin in tiny spaces but not for pet waste.

I would not recommend this to be used outside or for dog poop. Depending on how cold it gets in your area, this thing would freeze and crack easily if left out. It also doesn't have a smell proof lid either so the smell would not be pleasant for animal waste use. This is a nice little barrel for inside. By a desk, bathroom, laundry room. Pretty much anywhere, but inside. It is easy to use and insert and remove the bag. I like that it has two options to use it. The foot pedal and a push button on the lid to pop it open. It is cute and hand for my desk.

I have big dogs and a largw yard and this little things will only be able to handle maybe 3 poops from my dogs. better suited for smaller breeds and smaller yards
