I can pick up 10 dirt plugs, drop them at the location where I want to take grass plugs from, then pick up 10 grass plugs and dump them at the dirt holes, put them in the holes and then go back and fill the empty holes with the dirt plugs. Rinse and repeat. I definitely would buy again. Awesome product, I was leary at first because it looked too simple. Buy it, it’s 10 stars

I bought many planter and this one is the best so far.1. Steel blade will not peel like others powder coated2. You can collect multiple without pick up each one, speed up your lawn care process.

This tool was a big help when working on my yard. It made planting sod plugs quick and easy, saving me time and effort compared to doing it by hand. This plugger tool by Dolibest is a workhorse! I have zoysia grass that I planted about 16 years ago. It has taken off and covered most of my front and side yard, but there is still a lot of area it needs to cover. I ordered this plugger tool to pull out little pads of my established zoysia grass and put them in other areas that need to be filled in. I can do this procedure over and over and slowly fill in my lawn. The plugger has nice sharp cutting parts that get into my southern clay soil easily, giving me a couple of inches of soil along with the nice pad of grass on top of the plug it pulls out. I am going to commit to using this tool two or three times a week for 15 or 20 minutes each time so it doesn't get overwhelming for me to take on this huge task (female 56). With that small effort, I should have all two acres of yard filled in by next fall without spending all my weekends messing with the lawn! This is a great tool that works as described. I would highly recommend this sod plugger for any planting or re-planting job you have.

This sod Plugger is made of heavy duty metal and I can see it still being around serving our needs n 20+ years. It is super easy to use. It has rubber handles that make it much easier on your hands. Just step on the peddle and it will cut out the “plug†of grass or so that you want. Lift it back up pretty straight and it’s so sharp it just cuts out a perfect little piece of the grass with soil that you wanted! We are taking pieces of where we have St Augustine grass and moving it to where we don’t have it growing. We took out plugs of the area where we want to put the “sod plugs†and transplanted about a dozen plugs in less than 30 minutes. I know you can buy plugs of sod so we may do that too. Then all we’d have to do is pull out the plug of soil where we want to put sod and not cut sod and transplant from our yard because now we have to go back and fill in those holes. But as far as this tool goes? It works like a dream! It’s sharp and works easily. I’m 50+ and my 16 year old daughter and I both used it with zero problem and we both are looking forward to using it again. Yardwork can be fun with the right tools! Highly recommend!

It’s especially great for cutting sod plugs—you can load up the handle with multiple plugs and then tip it over to release them all at once.As for using it as a bulb planter, it’s limited to smaller bulbs like crocus since it doesn’t dig deep enough for larger ones like tulips or daffodils. That said, I plan to use it to add crocus to my lawn, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs for that task.
