this is a sturdy bulb planter that works very well at our new home that has sandy soil. but i did have to take up the scraggly grass first for an easy plant. I think it would be easier work with nicer turf and would not work as well on rocky clay soil. but good for my current needs of massive bulb planting

Did what was advertised and I planted over 100 grass plugs . But the depth stop bent early on, so I had to watch how much stomping power I used cutting holes and/or making plugs.

I bought this for planting bulbs in my garden...170 of them. I couldn't bare the thought of bending down to dig 170 little holes (I have spinal disease). I researched all the different devices and methods for doing that task and settled on this one. Over the weekend, I unboxed it, assembled it (which took all of 5 minutes, if that), and went out to dig the first set of bulb holes. It took me about 2 minutes to dig a dozen holes...with no back pain! I like how the dirt plugs get pushed out of the top, which enables you to keep on digging without having to clean it out. And, the plugs that fall out are the perfect size for filling back in the holes once the bulb is placed. The ONLY thing is, once you're all done digging, there is a little bit of dirt left inside that you will need to get out. You don't need to turn it upside down. Just lay it on its side with the plug exit opening facing down. Stick a stick or small handle from a hand tool (or whatever) in the very bottom (the part that goes into the ground) and that little bit of dirt will pop right out. I found this tool to be excellent, sturdy, and it made fast work of digging the bulb holes. I would highly recommend it!

I planted a assortment of bulbs and this made the job much easier. Foot press handles all constructed strong so could push down with hands and feet. Much easier than a hand tool.

The holes are a smaller diameter than other pluggers. Requires more bending over to constantly pick the plugs off the ground.

Love this! Easy to assemble and absolutely great for planting those bigger bulbs like tulips, daffodils and fritillaria persica! So much better than getting down on my hands and knees with a hand shovel!

芝生の土壌改良に使ってます。体重をかけて踏み込むと直径4cm深さ10cm程度の穴が空けられます。そこに新しい土を入れてます。エアレーションも兼ねていますので既存のローンパンチより穴が大きい分効率が良いと思います。効果の程はまだ確かめていませんが芝生の更新作業が楽になりました。ただし固い石があると先端の金属が曲がるので予め大きな石は取り除いておくほうが良いでしょう。デメリットはやや高価なこと。

I've used a few different pluggers on my flower farm. I wasn't sure how the ejection shoot would work, but it turns out to work fantastic. I'm 6ft tall, it turns out the plugger is short for me. I wish they would sell an extension for tall people. I might be unique in the fact that I plug thousands of holes a year though. For the price I would absolutely recommend this product

I used it this spring to plant various bulbs.Suddenly one of the footsteps bent.Could not use it anymore.I returned item for a refund.
