This is the fix for my 2002 2500HD with a 6.0. My original manifold broke bolts after 20 years but this new design that is not connected between cylinders 3 and 5 allow the manifold to flex so this will never happen again. As an added not I purchased ARP hardened manifold bolts to ensure this will never happen again.

This appears to be a decent, sturdy replacement part. However, as noted in other reviews, it may interfere with your coolant temp sensor and require trimming to fit. This was the case with my 2003 GMC Yukon with the 5.3L LM7 engine. I discovered this after braking off the plastic connector of my temp sensor while trying to install this part. My angle grinder made quick work of the offending corner.It's also worth noting that the ring gasket included did come bent as a result of the manifold hitting it in shipping as others have mentioned. (Un)fortunately I was also replacing the catalytic converter/y-pipe and the new one uses a flat gasket that was included with it.Always go with the factory style multi-layer steel gasket between the manifold and head, but in a pinch, I did locate the included paper-faced gasket tucked in between the two boxes after I read about it in another review.

Normally I like Dorman but man oh man. I got everything off then during install, getting everything aligned I realized wow. This has 1/4 inch at minimum overcasting and didn’t fit properly. While taking it on off on off until I grinded enough off it dropped and broke the head off one of my spark plugs, now sure that was my doing but was it really if I had to constantly take it off to grind more and more metal off. Disappointed

Drivers side was a fit perfect. Lined up with cat pipes and cylinder head flawlessly. The design is slightly different than OEM, as there are expansion cuts in this one. Probably an improvement over stock.
