Before you order this switch - pull your old switch and take a look at the back of it to make sure you are ordering the right one. There are two different ones that used in a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 HD and similar Chevrolet Models. Both of them have an 8 pin and a 4 pin, however - the PLUGS are different. One has a size 6 pin plug with 4 pins in it and the other has a size 4 pin plug with 4 pins in it.

Before ordering remove existing switch and check plugs. Both switches have 2 plugs, both have an 8 pin plug. The other plug is either a 4 pin plug, or a 6 pin plug but only uses 4 pins you need to confirm which one your vehicle needs before ordering.

This did not fit the stated vehicle and I can no longer return it. There are multiple types of clips for chevy Silverado and this one does not work even though amazon stated it was compatible with my vehicle.

Billet fuel door great ...lock and key ...GARBAGE ...Will not unlock do to corrosion from outside element...have to replace the lock if I can find one to match....👎
