Worked great replacing the factory actuator on a 2002 Ford F150, and 4wd is back up and running. This went in far easier than the old one came out, but this does not include the 'C' clip that secures the actuator to its mount so make sure you don't lose the original when removing.

I would suggest purchasing a DeWalt 3/4†grinding stone that fits in a drill (I found mine at Lowe’s) to ream out the old hole and then this will slide right in.

Works great and easy fix. Just make sure you clean the mounting whole till the actuator slips in freely. The old actuator most likely will be seized.

Similar part to the OEM, however it doesn't fit a 2003 F-150. The shaft orientation is in the wrong position and the plastic drum is slightly larger and makes a very tight fit. Sent it back.

The unit only came with one of the 2 clips needed for install. Upon searching other sites we found this out. Most likely the one that is currently on your F150 is so corroded and meshed into it you have no option but to break it out. Ended up finding the right size in a multi pack at a big box fleet and farm. I believe it was an 1 1/4 size eclip if memory serves me correctly. It also doesn't come with the boot. Our boot was OK but did tare a little when trying to get it off initially. For being more of a "kit" figure it'd be complete. You can also look up on the manufactures website as it fits more models than what's listed on here. Ours worked on a 2000 F150 XLT.Other than that, it moved about 1 1/2 inches in and out compared to 1/8 inch on the old one. We had to go another step and replace the electric motor on the transfer case.

Perfect replacement for my 2003 F150. Original actuator was stuck, most likely from lack of use.

It was a very easy installation. I had this same part fail a few years back. Total cost of the repair was $365 from a local garage which included $250 for the actuator. I bought the identical part (same make and number) from Amazon for $163 delivered to my house. The most trouble I had was getting the old one out, I eventually cut it out with a grinder. It feels good performing an easy task and saving $200!
