Works fine, bit stiff initially but wears in. Others had issues with making a duplicate key since the new key is thinner than the OEM. My locksmith had luck with ILCo brand key blank #TR40, not perfect but it works for a backup.

Solid replacement for a 3rd gen 4runner. Turns nice and comes with 2 keys. It is a direct replacement and fits right in, only takes 5 minutes and your all done. Only down side is your door and ignition key will not match up anymore, but it's to easy to carry two keys on a lanyard. Great buy in my opinion.

It was pretty easy to install by following a youtube video. When installing the new cylinder, I found it tight and it took a harder push to seat it, but it did finally click into place. The new keys are roughly cut and hard to insert without some jiggling but they do work. Since this new key will only work for the ignition you have to keep your old key for locking and unlocking doors.

We have a bunch of Toyota cars and trucks in our family. After a while, the ignition wears out. Usually I don't love Dorman parts. But, this is my go to ignition switch when they wear out (98 toyota tacoma and 96 4runner). Some of the other cheap ones don't fit as well, and are not as well built. I bought one other cheap one, trying to save 5 bucks, and it didn't fit at all. So, this is my go to.

Great product works as described, fits 2000 Tacoma 3.4 l v6. No issues at all easy to install , Dose not feel cheap or plastic like key is good and sturdy too
