There are a few things I really love about this mat. You can roll it, or fold it and it rolls out flat every time no need to place books at the corners. Drawing and writing on it is easy, and doesn't smudge. Problem is dry erase doesn't work well, but we'll erase works great. So far feels really durable, but we'll see how many years it lasts.

I love this mat. I have tried other ones (more expensive) and have had problems with stains from the markers (the ones they demanded I use) thus one is perfect - no stains, easy to clean, easy to store. And the silicone material even helps with minis sliding. LOVE IT

These are nice, but a little ungainly. Being erasable is nice, just need a damp cloth or baby wipes. Plenty of room to draw an entire evenings worth of adventures. Had a severe curl to them, but it eventually went away. Sort of on the heavy and bulky side, as I'm not one to want to fold them up. So far, they are serving their purpose and holding up well.

I haven’t tested it’s stain resistance but I have tried several dry and wet erase Markers. I’ve noticed that dry erase markers are best for this type of mat and that NOT all dry erase markers are equal. The color holds onto the mat and doesn’t smudge easily. I’ve noticed that the grey printed lines are not well suited for marking so you’ll likely have success drawing on the silicon along the grid lines. The mat will lie flat on the table and has some weight to it compared to vinyl, paper or laminated mats. Also the silicone helps keep the mat from sliding around on a table. I haven’t had the mat for longer than a few hours but I like what I see, I’ve purchased several vinyl mats over the last few decades and they all ended up looking bad after 1-2 games. I have high hopes for this one and expect it to out perform my old mats I will update the review after a few sessions of gaming on it.

I didn’t get this for gaming, I was looking for a reusable drawing mat for my kid but couldn’t find a silicone one that didn’t already have pictures printed on it.The hexagons and squares on this are unobtrusive. It accepts dry erase markers well, they don’t bead on the surface.I am strict with it being cleaned thoroughly after each use as my main fear is staining over time of it is left with marker on its surface. So it’s tough to say if it does stain with a game map left on for days or weeks. It is a little work to clean after use, but not too bad.

You can’t slide pieces across as this is a softer finish. Not the best

Overall I have no complaints with this. It is well made and does it's job admirably. My one hang up was that I just didn't like how the silicone "grabbed" the bottom of my miniatures. I'm also a little worried about what will happen to this if you leave Wet Erase on it for any extended time period.
