I like this much better than the French butter bell I used before! It keeps the butter fresh at room temperature without getting too warm. It has plenty of room for two sticks of butter. The silicone seal works great to keep it airtight.. I have not had any problems with it coming off. It looks great on my counter and is easy to use without making a mess. It’s nice and heavy.. great quality! One of my best purchases yet!

I bought this butter container recently and here is my review.Starting with how the container looks I noticed this butter container is a bit thicker than I expected as it doesn't fit on the shelf of my refrigerator that I intended to put it on. That shelf is just a little wider than a stick of butter but that's just a small issue to complain about. The container being wide isnt all bad as I realized it can hold 2 or more butter sticks. This helps me store more butter as a nice convenience. Your experience may vary since I don’t know what size of butter sticks you buy or how many you are going to put in there. The wooden lid and rubber gasket provides a proper seel for the butter to maintain freshness for your butter. Some reviews here say their lid doesnt work or doesnt provide a proper seel when they try to close their container. Make sure that the rubber gasket is correctly installed on the wooden lid. If it doesn’t seel, the rubber gasket may have been installed incorrectly. Mine was installed just fine so just double check before writing a bad review like some other reviews.Examining the ceramic, I feel it is very high quality so I am confident placing this in the refrigerator while under other food containers. I’m no expert on ceramic but my container hasn’t broken yet so that is good news.Before I placed butter in my container, I gave it a nice wash and found it is very easy to scrub with soap and water. The wooden lid I just wiped it with a damp paper towel and dried both well before storing any butter.Overall, I am currently enjoying this butter container. I will update this review if I notice anything as I continue to use it.

I have tried several butter dishes over the past 20 years and none of them have worked for our family, so we ended up donating them. The ones we have tried have ranged from the plastic covered Rubbermaid one (can't cut stick well when lid off because base isn't flat and it is super messy) to a covered crystal dish for parties (that has the same issues). This butter crock is PERECT! I like NOT seeing the butter (or whatever item you choose to store inside), so the opaque white ceramic was perfect. The best feature for me is being able to put the opened butter stick (we use the large Kerrygold blocks) on the flat, upside down lid and then being able to serve using a butter knife when we have company directly off of the lid. The rest of the time, we keep the butter in the foil wrap inside the crock. I can't tell you how much we love this crock! Life changing. We have one for butter and one for cream cheese. Both crocks fit perfectly inside the cubby that has the pull down cover at the top of our fridge's door. Very clean looking. The wood lids are beautiful and vary in color. I ordered another brand that was supposed to have a wood lid and the quality wasn't as good and it came with bamboo which I didn't like so sent it back. I can't recommend this brand highly enough! It came beautifully packaged. It is well made, should last a life time, beautiful, functional, and fits the space perfectly. Simple but elegant, just as I like it.

So far it’s working kind of like a butter bell without the mess or mildew of one. Seals well. Looks nice. Holds a European butter fine. I think two sticks of quarters would fit as well. I let it sit out on the counter 24/7 and the butter is spreadable but not soft. It would tear a slice of commercial white or wheat bread.

This is a nice butter dish and seems to be good quality. However, beware that this butter dish is NOT 3.1 inches high as stated in the picture with dimensions but rather is only 2.7 inches. This is important for those wishing to use this dish for a full pound of butter, as it will not fit because of the height.

I watched this item and read customer reviews for a while before deciding to purchase. l'm so glad that I did buy it. It is a nice size and weight. It comfortably holds two sticks of butter, or a block of Plugra or Kerrygold. Some complained about the lid not staying closed, but I don’t have that problem. I hand wash the lid and dish.

Great butter dish with a simple design but looks pretty. As a Canadian the only problem is that it does not fit a whole block of butter and I have to cut the butter in 1/2 to fit but as a smaller household that works better for us.

I really wanted to love this. The top of it just doesn't sit flush with the dish. The seal around the top prevents it from becoming flush. Sometimes the lid just pops off from the rubber seal. We ended up just taking off the rubber band around it. It's not the best option, but for this price I would have expected more.I had reached out to their customer service to ask about it, unfortunately there was nothing they could do because it was purchased from Amazon and Amazon never responded to any of my emails as well.
