I've heard a lot of people say, "you can't have enough tools", but I like the saying "the right tool makes the job easier" and that is definitely where this set fits in. I know a lot of people just cut off the wire on the old O2 sensor to remove it, but if you don't have a deep enough socket that is the right size, that doesn't help either. Ever tried taking out a rusted in O2 sensor with a crescent or box wrench, I hope there weren't any small children within ear shot :)! And what do you do to put the new one in, exhaust systems never rust right :)? This set makes both tasks easier by giving you a firm multi-sided grip when both extracting and installing your O2 sensor.

I don't have a need for this tool very often, but last month I had to change the O2 sensor on my wife's Lexus and it wasn't fun using my existing tools. I picked this up so the next time it will be much easier. The next time is next month when I put a set of headers on my Scat Pack Charger. The headers have a fitting for an O2 sensor in the collector. If I have any issues with that application, I will update this review.

Tools definitely appear to be carbon steel and solid. I’m a little teed off to find them completely drenched in oil like I’ve never seen a new tool set in my life. I absolutely hate oily tools, as I’m very careful when I use them to clean afterwards. Basically looks like they just took a can of WD-40 and went to town after packing them. Someone must’ve complained about a rusty tool, but I don’t understand how carbon steel rust unless you get it soaking wet and leave it outside. So that took about 10 minutes to get cleaned up. Other than the oily tools, the case is pretty crappy, but it does work, I guess. Considering most of these sockets are about $15 apiece from the auto parts store its still a pretty good deal. Happy to have every size that you’re ever going to need. The last individual socket that I picked up bent and became useless as o2 sensors get rusted in and there’s not a lot that’s going to get them out unless you cut the wire and use a regular socket. So just be aware that they’ll last for a while like any other tool, but O2 sockets aren’t lifetime purchases. (the one that I had that bent was an actual name brand, funny enough.) If these start to absolutely fail when I go to use them, I’ll come back and update, thanks.

I needed to change a Chevrolet oxygen sensor. Instead of getting one single socket for a premium price, I decided to get this set to hopefully cover anything I may need in the future. I have only used the 7/8" so far, and it worked great. I was able to remove and install the sensor. The fitment was good, and I had no issues with the socket. These have a good finish and come well oiled to protect them from rusting. I like having all of them available in one convenient case. This is an excellent value for what you receive.

There's no way you have an o2 sensor this set can't handle. It's interesting, but also nice that it comes with 2 standard 7/8"/22mm sockets, with one being 3/8" and the other is 1/2" drive. They came drenched in oil, so I guess not likely they show up rusty. The case is decent, although the cheap plastic flex hinge design won't last forever. This is a darn good deal for all these sockets and really handy to have them kept together in a case. I'm thrilled to have this set.

These come in handy for any home mechanic. You never know when you'll need to replace your oxygen sensor. This comes in a variety of sizes in a nice carrying case, and come covered in oil to help prevent rust. Quality is decent and I have yet to break one.

Nice range and style of O2 sockets. The come in a blow molded case but it has the cheap plastic hinge that breaks with fatigue, instead of pinned hinges that last forever.the kit is complete, black oxide with an oiled finish. I would not consider these professional grade but more in line with HF quality.they get the job done at a reasonable price point. i still consider them a win for my toolbox.

These are very handy to have if you do work on cars. Lots of versatility with these sockets. The case is nice to store them out of the way until you need them
