- Suitable for a wide range of automotive work, such as work related to brakes, wheel bearings, axles and suspension systems etc.
Function:
- Used for supporting the calipers while they are not mounted, which will save brake lines from getting damaged by the caliper hanging from them

3 Different Sizes
This brake piston spreader tool comes with 3 different sizes of metal plates, the specific sizes are:
- 4.53"x2.36" (115x60mm);
- 5.83"x2.36" (148x60mm);
- 6.93"x2.36" (176x60mm).
The smaller ones
- Suitable for disc brake systems with two and four piston fixed calipers or single and two piston floating calipers.
The larger ones
- More suitable for some six-piston or even eight-piston fixed calipers etc.
The Separation Distance:
- Min. Distance: 1.57 inches (40mm);
- Max. Distance: 2.76 inches (70mm).
Note:
- These three different sized brake caliper press tool will fit most vehicles, please check the size of your vehicle's braking system before choosing this tool as they are not suitable for smaller braking systems on models like motorcycles.

Easy To Use
It's a simple tool with an open or closed ratchet action at the flick of a ratchet switch. Turning the ratchet easily pivots the caliper piston back into place, making the job much simpler than compressing the piston with a C-clamp and old brake pads.
Procedure for Use:
- For first time use, apply pressure to both spreader plates by turning the ratchet until they fit into the caliper.
- Turn the ratchet handle to compress the piston until the piston is fully compressed back in.
- Turn the switch on the ratcheting mechanism, rotate the handle to retract the metal plates on both sides and remove the tool.

I've been working on cars for the last 35 years and have always used a C-clamp on brake calipers. I don't know why I never bought one of these years ago. Works amazing so much easier especially on Brembo style brakes

This is an upgrade tool to using a c-clamp to compress your brake calipers. Much easier to use although make sure the tool is snug before ratcheting. Comes with different size pads that are magnetic which is awesome. The ratchet feels very sturdy and can flip easily to depress or compress. The caliper hanger hooks to a great accessory to have and helps assure that your caliper won't fall off. The brake pad measuring tool is good. Says you can use it to measure without disassembly but not really depending on your rims spacing. Easier to remove your tires then measure your pads. Overall, very nice brake caliper press tool set in a nice storage case. Much easier to use compared to a c-clamp but only if it fits within your budget.

This is a neat tool, on some cars it none functional, you need to use it while one of the caliper bolts is still in place, you cant do that on every car.. so its a 5 star on some cars and a 1 star on others.

I'm very impressed by this little kit, especially the little hangers for brake calipers. The brake pad life gauge is also very handy and the ratcheting mechanism in the piston spreader feels good. I've only been able to use it twice so far but it does seem to be able to hold up for a while.

I decided to purchase this kit since I do minor maintenance on my family cars quite often. This kit is particularly useful for changing brake pads. It has a ratchet tool that allows to compress the caliper and push the hydraulic piston back. It works quite well. In the past I was using a C-clamp for the same purpose. It still would do the job, but not as good as the tool in the kit. Plus, there are some additional and useful accessories: brake pad thickness gauges and brake caliper hanging hooks. Everything is packed in a nice plastic case. Nice kit to have.
