We use this for a sensory swing for our son and works well. Very easy to install and seems very sturdy.

I first purchased this very same bar when I moved into my dorm a long long time ago. It served me and the whole floor very well for the entire four years. Did not bend or break. The brackets are thicker gauge steel than comparable products. I was surprise to see that it's still on the market after so many years, so it was a no brainer to buy it again. I'm sure the bar in my old dorm room is still there and is still being used by students. Highly recommended.

I’m 5’8. And the standard width of grip leaves no room for what I consider proper pull ups on a 35†door frame. So my elbows push into the sides of the door frame. This is my first try with an inner door frame bar rather than the type that hooks through and has wider bars. 4 stars because it feels solid and is low profile. Chin ups and banded stuff works great.

I originally bought it so I could hang and 'unkink' my back. It saved me from frequent trips to the chiropractor. A surprising benefit was that I noticed over time that my arms, shoulders, upper chest and back became more toned. Why pay for the gym?

Same bar we had at our house 55 years ago. Worked well then for me and my 2 brothers, and I don’t see any changes in the new one.

I’ll keep it because it’s the only one on Amazon that screws in, doesn’t use outward pressure that would potentially damage my door frame, is adjustable, and locks rotation to avoid spinning the bar which is annoying when I’m doing pull ups. However, if there was a similar product out there that was better engineered for the same purpose, I’d buy it. This one is so loosely engineered it’s as if it was designed by a high school shop class. The hex shape of the wall slots has nothing to do with the hex shape of the bar ends. Wall slots might as well be circular and fit to the bar. And the wall slots are far wider than needed to accommodate the bar ends, so it’s loosy goosy. I’ll see if I can find a shim to make it a tighter fit. The little tabs that rotate in to “lock†the hex end in place are also a design/engineering kluge. For $45, I would expect better. But alas, all the other products out there have their own flaws (outward pressure potentially damaging, circular ends that can spin/rotate while doing pull ups, or non adjustable).

This is the best solution I could find for a door mounted pull-up bar that wouldn't damage the door frame. It's solid and doesn't bend under my body weight (>150lbs). I feel completely safe using this. It's a bit tricky to remove the bar from the locking tabs, but if you're leaving it in place that's not a concern.Installation was easy. I replaced the included screws with #9 x 1-1/2 wood screws and used a 1/8-inch drill bit for the pilot holes. I'd strongly recommend using #9 x 1-1/2 screws if you're installing this in a wood door frame. This style of door mounted pull-up bar has been around since at least the 70s. It's much less complicated than many of the alternatives and it won't damage your door frame if you install it correctly. I'm happy with the quality; it's entirely possible this bar might outlast my house. Thanks DreamGYM. I like this product a lot.

This is a good pull up bar. Easy to fit and feels firm. I had to add a couple of pieces of timber to my doorframe because the brackets were a little wider than section of frame they need to fix to. I also added some heat shrink wrapping over the bar, the type that's made for fishing poles. It's available from Amazon and gives the bar a nicer grip.

Unlike most of the bars that hold the weight by pushing outwards, —which can make the door frame eventually crack— what I like the most of this one is that it doesn't damage the frame cuz the weight is exerted fully downwards, thanks to the 2 screwed supports system. We didn't mind having to fix the supports to the frame cuz you can take the bar off and they are barely visible. You can also close the door of course. It's very very sturdy and it gets very secured once you install it and close the safety mechanism, it practically doesn't move. We have been using it both my husband and I more than twice a day and so far the frame hasn't suffers a bit.The only cons I would point out is that is somewhat hard to remove the bar. And I would also improve the product by adding two rubber/foam removable handgrips. All in all is an excellent product, simple, nothing fancy to justify exorbitant prices and it gets the job done.I recommend.

Straight out of the box I could see that this piece of badly welded equipment made from thin, shiny piping was a piece of chrome-plated trash and dangerous when considering its intended use. As a welder myself I can't stress enough how badly put together this thing is and how badly chosen its thin piping and fixtures. DO NOT BUY this so-called DreamGYM bar; it a nightmareGYM bar and ought to be taken off the shelves. Also, to add insult to probable injury, getting my refund took many weeks and a lot of messing around.
