After doing some home improvements that included converting a loft into a bedroom, I had a lot of drywall taping to do. I started off with a handheld reciprocal sander, which got old quickly. This helped a ton. I connected it to my Ridgid shop vac, which cut down on the dust.

This is a nice sander to have in the cabinet for anyone who does remodels and drywall/flooring repairs. This sander can handle many drywall and floor sanding requirements. I have yet to use it for a project, and plan to update this review once I have time behind the sander.For most cases a manual drywall sanding attachment at the end of an extension pole is the best solution for drywall sanding needs. This sander does have significant weight to it, so holding it over head for long lengths of time is not a good option. As it is not a random orbit sander I’m curious how it will handle various sanding requirements.I recently removed a popcorn ceiling from a room; this task is easiest with spraying/misting water on it, letting it sit for about 5 minutes, then just scraping it off into a tray with a wide putty knife. I would not suggest using a sander like this to remove popcorn ceiling, but only after the ceiling has been successfully scraped off could this sander be used to clean up the drywall. However, it does seem like a bit overkill in most applications, considering a sanding block on an extension pole is typically all that’s needed.I’m interested to see how this sander handles hardwood floors, and if it is of use for that purpose?The sander folds up nicely and stores in a duffle bag. The kit does come with vacuum hose and a dust collection bag, but attaching it to a vacuum is much more effective for dust control. The end of the handle fits one of my universal vac/hose attachments to my bucket dust separator/shop vac. This is the best option minimizing dust raised from the sander.

Wow! At the price point I was expecting a decent sander but this one is just absolutely amazing. It runs great and the vacuum definitely helps keep that on the dust in the air! Definitely recommend it!
