Driver not needed for use in ArcaOS 5.1 (an updated OS/2 platform). Works fine in Windows 10/11 as well. For Logitech serial mouse and with Kantronic KPC-3+ ham radio TNC.

A must have cable for setup on a Cisco router or switch. There are no issues with these cables, connect one to the Cisco equipment and the other into your computer or laptop. You will need the free software "Putty" to use these. You can't go wrong for the money on these as you will need them.

I need to reset my cash registered and this cable just work very well for the programming task. I’m satisfy with the length, quality and durability of this product. I came along with a cd driver. Please double check, this is a female rs232 to usb. Make you pick the right cable (male or female).

This cable is a null modem cable. It works great except I had to make another RS232 null modem cable to connect between this and the end device as I needed a straight through cable. Worked beautifully after that though!

Did not work with my PoE switch. I got some gender changers and was able to use a different USB-to-serial cable successfully with the same switch.Update: ... but it does work fine with my Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station. I would guess the peculiarity is because of my Nortel switch's weirdness.

This adapter does not work with amateur radio transceivers. Get the Ugreen adapter with the FTDI chip, very high quality and works perfect.

Now that I've got this cable working OK, it is fantastic. I use it to connect my RS232 output on my scanner to my notebook. It works great.However, the paperwork that comes with it describes a driver for Windows that does not work as it's for a different chipset. They do send a CD with this device, but who these days has a CD player? Eventually I figured it out and found the correct driver - after which everything worked as expected.

For some reasons my Dell 6224 switch didn't have any response to the lan ports even though its lights were on. I used this console cable to connect the switch with my laptop via putty, everything works great.Firstly I don't need to install any driver on win10 which is great. Then log in to the switch console management was quite easy. You can check my picture, the cable length is long enough for I was working on the table when the switch was on the floor. After restored the setting profile, my Dell switch back to normal!!

They need to clarify the Description. I'm currently running Kubuntu 20.04 and I'm running the Default Kernel 5.4 and when I plugged this in, I could not see /dev/ttyUSB0How I resolved this is I installed the 5.18 Kernel and then I ran:sudo screen /dev/ttyUSB0and then hit enter a few time and I got in to the console of my Dell PowerConnect 6248
