Silent Dolphins have the same great materials for housing and stem while adding muting material to the stem rails that dampen the acoustics of your key strokes. These Silent Linear switches are great for sound-sensitive environments such as the office or any common areas. DUROCK Dolphin Silent Linears Feature: 90 included in each pack Housing: Transparent Clear Stem: 19-4052 Classic Blue, POM Spring Force: 62g Bottom Out Style: Silent Linear 5-pin PCB mount Light factory lube Clear shell is better to setup for RGB keyboards that want to get the most lighting through.

I've tried Outemu Silent Whites, Outemu Silent Grays, Kailh BOX Silent Pinks, Boba U4, and Durock Silent Shrimps. This is the best-feeling silent switch out of all those I've tried. They're the least mushy and scratchy switch I've tried, unlike the other rubber-dampened switches that really feel gummy on both downstroke and upstroke. This is the most expensive switch out of all of these options though, so if you're looking to meet the silent requirement without breaking the budget, you can still go for the other cheaper options like the Outemus. They don't feel as great, but they're still going to be quiet, which is the point of getting silents. However, as someone who's still trying out other switches I come across, I recommend that you also take a look at the Haimu Heartbeats/Epomaker Iceberg Silent/Skyloong Glacier Silent switches, whichever is available in your area. These switches are all the same (all manufactured by Haimu and just rebranded by Skyloong and Epomaker) and they use a revolutionary stem design (they use flexible stem rail bottoms instead of rubber dampeners, making the bottom-out feeling not mushy) that feels amazing and is whisper-quiet. They're much cheaper than Dolphins and they're infinitely better in almost all regards except RGB lighting (because they don't use clear white tops). Check them out if you want a fantastic alternative to the Dolphins.

I love these switches. I used them in an Ikki 68 build that I use for work. These actually replaced Gateron Black Ink Silents that were lubed and filmed, and I find these Dolphins to be much better in both sound and feel. Some things to note -- to my surprise, the stems come pre-lubed. It was a surprise for two reasons: 1.) I missed the mention of "light factory lube" in the description and assumed they were dry, and 2.) the springs were quite audible. The lube looks like a light oil, and the telltale sheen is obvious under light (see my first photo).I do think these are pretty usable stock. They are very smooth, probably a courtesy of the factory lubrication, and are of course very quiet compared to non-silent switches due to the silencing bumpers on the stem. That said, after testing one switch with my own lube, I decided to lube the whole batch -- I bag-lubed the springs with Krytox 105g0, and brush-lubed the stems (over the existing oil) and bottom housings with 205g0. I found that this resulted in both a deeper and quieter sound -- now they're whisper quiet to my ears. It doesn't really affect smoothness, though, since they were already quite smooth.Another thing to note: The silencing bumpers, which are kind of like a rectangular molded rubber band, can sometimes get crooked and derailed when handling disassembled switches (see my second photo for an example). Just make sure to realign them before reassembling, or else the bumpers will rub against the housing and cause the switch to get squishy and unresponsive. For the price, and with Amazon's quick shipping, I think these are a pretty awesome option. The only thing that would have made them better is a better factory lubing job that silenced the springs, so that I wouldn't have to lube it myself. That would take it to five stars for me.

I've used a few different switches or keyboard makers with o-rings as an option. So far, this has been the quietest switch of all. If you don't care about satisfying clicks or tactiles, and looking for a very, very quiet mechanical keyboard switches, I think this will hit the spot.

I ordered 90 of these for a TKL build that needs 87 switches. There were 7 failed switches in the batch of 90 which is a worse rate of failure than I've seen from other vendors (I think I've purchased over 1k switches in the last 7 years). The switches are smooth, and that's great. The 62g model feels lighter than a 62g switch should, in my opinion.

By far the quietest mechanical switches I've ever had. They're way smoother than cherry pinks that I had previously too.I did need to clip the plastic stabilizers for hot swapping them to my Mountain GG Core - not a big deal though.
