Absolutely gorgeous snare!!! This is the first DW drum I tried and it will NOT be the last. First of all the build quality is 100% American meaning perfect. One thing that I really liked was the inside is finished just like the outside which improves the tonality of the drum. The tuning range on this snare is huge. I was looking for a snare that had a solid crack but didn't miss out on any low end and this product exceeded my expectation. To top it off on the inside of the drum it has a badge with various information and also a little memoir to how and where the drum was made. A great touch for anyone who takes pride in the gear they use. Do yourself a favor and purchase a snare stand that accommodates deep snares otherwise it will sit to high on the kit. I recommend the Pearl s930D.
