I needed an accessory snare to match my other metal Gretsch snare. I used this one as a rack tom and switched the snare on for another snare sound. The stock head tuned up well. Very impressed with this little guy.

Nice as a side snare drum, for messing around. To make it sound decent requires new heads and snare wires so...it's no bargain. Stays in tune for approximately five minutes.

Gives you that classic pop. Tuned up easily with stock heads. The hanger support on the side came in handy. I just bought a cowbell clamp, attached it to the hi hat stand, then attached this snare to it. Now I have a great, pangy little popcorn snare with very little extra hardware.

Side snares are slowly becoming a thing in drum sets. Specifically, tiny snares.I've bought this and so far it's bright and it pops. I've got a clear Remo Controlled Sound on the batter and a Remo Diplomat on the resonate side. It works perfectly for rock, hip hop, lofi chillhop and ballads. It gives you an option to open your horizon in terms of dynamics.I've got about 4 Gretsch snares and no 2 drums sound the same. If you collect like I do, you want this in your arsenal.
