The original guide was plastic and kids broke it playing with the door. I got this one it works great they gave me two different size brackets to make sure it fit and it fits great easy install almost the same as the original one. metal not plastic like Original this one should last it's not flimsy either

Update: I updated my rating to a 4 star based on great customer service. The seller indicated Amazon was responsible for the repackaging and resale. They also offered to send us brand new items.The product itself is good. However, I received a used banged up item. It appears the seller just resells used items as new. Very disappointed.

Purchased this to replace broken plastic barn door guides. It was very easy to install on my baseboards and it is quiet because of the adhesive felt pads that came with the device. It is solid steel, very strong, and well made. It looks good after installation. I would recommend it over the plastic OEM part.

Tmi have carpet and these worked great because they mount to the wall not the floor. Theye are not fancy like some but they are low profile. I was worried about kicking them but that isn't an issue since you can adjust their thickness to however snug to the door yiu want them. They come with black felt for the inside so your doors don't get scuffed. My doors are white so I glued white felt inside instead. Don't waste your money on those other "fancy" ones. I bought them and returned them. These are simple, low profile depth, and the best for my needs.

This came with two different U shaped pieces. Both are a bit adjustable one is just longer than the other to fit a wider door. This takes up very little space and is indiscreet compared to other massive floor guides. Our door is about an inch wide and the smaller piece fit perfectly!

The product listing said that it goes up to 2 1/4รขโฌย on inside dimensions. However the item I receive only went up to 1 7/16รขโฌย on the inside dimensions. Extremity disappointed that it doesnรขโฌโขt work.

I brought a few similar products that were too big for a sliding door, this one is perfect, easy to install.
