The price for this mini practice pad with stand is very good. After using one for a bit I bought three more and made a mini practice set. Try that on for size. For those who have been looking at the Wicked Chops mini pad here is the difference. The Eastrock is a little lighter and the pad is slightly smaller then the Wicked Chops pad. There is little difference in the two pads. But the Wicked Chops is around $40 depending on where you buy it and it does not come with a stand. The EASTROCK with the stand makes this a great deal. Now will it make you a better drummer? NO, you will make yourself a better drummer by practicing a lot. This is just a tool to get you there. And it will help.

I was tempted to pick up the Wicked Chops pad until I saw this and couldn’t be happier with it. The fact that it comes with a stand which is actually very nice, and costs less than the Wicked Chop’s is a huge bonus imo.The stand is well built and lightweight, much nicer than some of the stands you get on here that come as a bundle. I can’t say if it’s as nice as the Remo or Evans stands but it doesn’t matter to me because I’m definitely satisfied with this one. The pad is very well made, it has some weight and the silicone top has a nice feel with just the right amount of rebound. The pad sound is very quiet with good articulation, it may be bothersome to someone sitting right next to you trying to watch a movie in silence but other than that no one else will even hear it, it’s one of the quietest if not the quietest pad I have, essentially your only hearing the sound of the stick hitting it.All in all, everything about this set is very well made and for the price, you can’t go wrong. I went with the red top so it’s easier to see set up within my drum set or in my peripheral when I’m practicing the way I have it set up in my picture. The size is smaller than I imagined but I really wouldn’t want it any bigger. It truly helps with your accuracy and timing but also helps manage your energy since it kind of forces you to relax and be more aware of where you are hitting.I would say this pad is for more experienced players looking to hone in their craft. This may not be much fun for a beginner and would probably just frustrate them, however the stand itself is well worth the price and can be used with any drum pad with an 8mm screw so I would buy it just for that and when you feel skilled or confident enough to work with this pad, it’s there when you need it!I would easily buy this set again.

There is no nonslip pad on the bottom but I still decided to buy a second one so I could have the stand too. The small size might be too frustrating for a beginner but is a great tool for intermediate+ drummers.

For reference I ordered the blue and grey ones. One for myself and one for my daughter to practice on, but now we just setup them up on two cymbal stands together and take turns practicing.EASTROCK MINI Practice Drum Pad, 2.16 Inches Silent Drum Pad, Silicone (top only) Silent Drum for Beginners is fantastic way to practice. Not just for beginners, but also great practice for novices and intermediate players. Compact And Portable: Size 2.16 inches wide x 1.57 inches high, weight 0.39 pounds; Compact and exquisite, easy to carry, can be used anytime and anywhere.EastRock claims that it can be used on a cymbal stand, but keep in mind that you cannot use this on a hi hat stand, because they don't have threading to screw it onto, they use a high hat clutch. I did get it to screw onto my accent splash cymbal boom arm. I also got it to screw onto my simple cymbal stands, and an accent splash cymbal arm, so that too works. You can practice by placing it on a smooth surface, but it doesn't have any marring protection (bare metal underneath), so it could potentially scratch your surface. I placed it on my cushioned foot stool and practice there, but also from the accent splash cymbal boom arm, connected to a cymbal stand.Well made, heavy, comes wrapped in foam, and a simple box.To prevent scratching you could glue to the bottom felt or use a self adhesive thin silicone pad and be done with it. Just chuck it in your pocket and practice at the park.

I am very impressed by the quality and robust build of this EASTROCK MINI Practice Drum Pad. This includes the very well-made stand with all of the adjustments, as well as, the very heavy, solid aluminum practice pad body with a thick silicone pad. Most importantly, this is MUCH quieter than my normal full-sized practice pads. I did find that it does make a difference what surface you have the stand sitting on, as the sound resonates through my upstairs tile floor and occupants down below were like "what's that tapping sound?!". This was easily resolved by setting the stand on one of those interlocking square foam ergonomic floor tiles. Overall, I have to say that this mini practice drum pad ROCKS!! (pun intended).

This a drum pad with purpose and that is to get you to focus your strikes to a 1.57" surface. It is inexpensive and high quality. You will learn to greater control your motion to a precise one and build up to it being consistent. It can be adjusted to different heights and angles for a more diverse practice. The feel is the same as a full size practice pad but with a significantly small surface area. It is built for a long practice life. Definitely recommend!

This is a nice, elegant little practice pad that works just as described. The body is machined from a single piece of aluminum, so no chance to strip the threaded section out inside the rest of the body as I've experienced with particle board pads with an insert. The pad itself is even smaller than I imagined (which is good, since I specifically wanted a tiny one to work on precision). I have no doubt this thing will last for a very long time.
